Frankly, public schools were a LOT better before Jimmy Carter invented the Department of Education in 1979. Can't argue with that.
Though, to be fair, local school boards are responsible for their fair share of educational stupidity.

Though, to be fair, local school boards are responsible for their fair share of educational stupidity.That is true. But personally, If I had a complaint that impacted my daughter's education, I would much rather be in a fight with a local school board than with the US Department of Education.
