It's time to outlaw the use of tasers by police. Check out the outrageous excuses for the use of tasers offered by police, and the all too often deaths associated with the use of tasers. look here: http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLD,GGLD:2005-09,GGLD:en&q=police+taser

The theory behind using a taser is that its less deadly than a bullet.

I think that theory remains valid, despite this announcement.

It's time to outlaw the use of tasers by police.

Police can save money then by shooting fleeing or out-of-control criminals.

I agree. They should stick strictly with .45 handguns.

Additionally, beware of those who use hyphenated names. They usually are not our friends.

Yeah, but since they are less deadly, officers are much more likely to use them, thus the inevitable "incidents" and bad press.

Why not just get rid of tasers, and spend that money on more ammunition for target practice and firearms training.

Don't run from cops, and don't act weird in front of them.

That's correct.  The following videos show valid uses for the taser, in which some of the suspects would have been fatally shot otherwise:

Would you rather they just went back to killing everyone they have problems with?

In some cases a smack upside the head can be deadly too, guess we should outlaw all physical confrontations by police.

Yes, but only if taken internally.

Trust me, it's not a good idea to call a cop a dickhead douchebag and try to knock him over running away drunk.

Yes, that would be a valid argument for better training for police officers in the proper use of tasers.
