'Jerusalem is closer than ever'
PA Prime Minister Ahmed Qureia pledges to continue struggle until Jerusalem becomes capital of Palestinian state; promises to follow Arafat's path until Palestinian flags are placed above walls of Jerusalem By Ali Waked
Israels withdrawal from Gaza and the Jenin area in the West Bank is the first step towards Jerusalem, Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Ahmed Qureia said Thursday in preparation for the PAs official pullout celebrations.
They (Israelis) dont have any other choice, he said. The direction we have are moving in together over the past few years brings us closer to Jerusalem and the release of sacred Palestinian land.
While Qureia said last week , Today Gaza, tomorrow Jerusalem, he seemed to sharpen his stance on Thursday.
We are standing before the gates of Jerusalem. The Israelis are leaving and we hope theyll leave us alone and our land, never to return, he said. When they leave our homes and nation, we will know how to build our homeland. We are the builders of this area, let them leave us in peace.
'Arafat, you are in our hearts'
The Palestinian prime minister said his nations struggle would only end once Jerusalem is in their control.
We will still celebrate once we reach our goals and establish a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, with the return of the refugees, he said.
In reference to former PA chairman Yasser Arafat birthday - celebrated Thursday - Qureia called the Palestinians, "the children of Yasser Arafat the martyr and the children of Ahmed Yassin the martyr and the children of all the martyrs.
Jerusalem is closer than ever, he said. We promise you, Arafat, you will stay in our hearts. We will continue to follow your path and carry out your promise that Palestinian girls and boys will wave the Palestinian flag above the walls of Jerusalem, its mosques and churches. We will continue until victory. None of us will give up until we are on Jerusalems soil.

No wonder no takes Palestinians seriously. This man has taken leave of his senses.
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.
Pinging the pingers!
Ain't gonna happen, not if my Bible is correct (and it is).
I'm speaking foolishly here for a minute for sake of argument, but honestly, why WOULDN'T the Palis keep on terrorizing Israelis. Even though it is going slowly the Israeli government keeps giving IN to their demands. If I was a young Pali who was about to see THE FULFILLMENT of another part of Arafat's dreams, why I'd be convinced that terrorism works too. Do you see what I'm saying? I notice folks talking about how "crazy" the palis are, but really.....this makes plain sense. The old saying is, "If it works, don't fix it." Well, terrorism is driving out the Jews from Israel so why not go on with more and more terror?
I'm against the terror, and I don't believe that the Israelis will be driven out because I'm a Christian. I'm just arguing this from the side of the terrorists. Like Cal Thomas said in another posted article......This Disengagment Plan IS NOTHING MORE THAN A RETREAT, and everyone knows it!!!!
Bush and Sharon have lost their minds. When Tower 2 fell 4 blocks from me on 9/11, I wasn't thinking "Hey let's pressure Israel to create a new terror state along side them so they can be destroyed". How the hell did we come to this? These animals danced in the streets on 9/11. And yet we threaten and pressure Israel to evicerate itself on their behalf. Sickening.
Sounds like he's channeling for Arafat? Holy cow, this should be intresting, he says Palestinian flags flying not only over mosques, but churches?Hmmm...can he show historically where Jerusalem was capital for anybody but the Jews, and before that it was known as Kingdom of Salem if I recall the history.I don't think the Salemites were descendents of these folks.
Sharon's brain has calcified.
He's no longer Arik, just a shell of him.
It is way past time to bulldoze the arabs back across the borders of Yisrael. The land of Yisrael belongs to Yahweh and cannot be given away.
How so? it has always been the goal of Islam to eradicate every last Jew from the ME. It has nothing to do with "Palestinians" the fictional people who never existed. They were just Arafats invention to create "the big lie".
Strange, my bible predicts a great destruction comming.
"PA Prime Minister Ahmed Qureia pledges to continue struggle until Jerusalem becomes capital of Palestinian state"
-On my and another 5 million Israelis dead bodies.
-On my and another 5 million Israelis dead bodies.
Well, I hear what you're saying, but I heard the same thing about Gaza from Sharon on down years ago. Israel keeps giving up stuff, and saying, "We will draw the 'red line' at such and such." And then, when Israel is forced to give up "such and such" they just make a new red line. I've seen this go one for years. Why should anyone believe that Jerusalem is going to be any different? The world will still hate the Jews, and the Arabs will still have the oil.
I dunno. I'm just trying to understand why the average Israeli insists on keeping its head buried nicely in the sand? It seems to me that if the Israelis do NOT draw the line HERE with the Settlers land in Gaza, that they will NEVER be able to draw any kind of a line later.
It's looking to me that the words of one of your Rabbis are going to be what G-d has to use to save the Israelis once again:
Rabbi Aviner: Resistance Without Disturbance
13:32 Feb 23, '05 / 14 Adar 5765
(IsraelNN.com) Rabbi Shlomo Aviner today called on Israelis to resist evacuation without causing civil disturbances, such as blocking public thoroughfares. One of the leading national religious spiritual leaders and head of Yeshivat Ateret Kohanim, he also repeated his opposition to soldiers refusing to follow army orders.
Rabbi Aviner said there must be a massive and peaceful demonstration by the people to stop the disengagement plan. The Arabs may be the ones who stop the disengagement, he added. "To my sorrow, they will save the situation," he stated. Rabbi Aviner explained that the evil ways of non-Jews and not Jewish common sense" often saves Israel from tragedies.

If you go by what the bible says, The rabbi you quote is wrong. God only helps if you stay within his mandate.
""Understand this clearly: today I have given you solemn warning. You were playing with your own lives when you made me your envoy to the Lord. You have not obeyed the word of God or the message he gave you, so understand this clearly, you are going to die by sword, famine and plague in the place where you have been wanting to go and settle." (Jer.42:20-22).
The similarities to the 'Israel' the Jews founded in 1948 and that set up by the militants at the time of Jeremiah, are striking.
As long as Isreal remains within it's origional mandate and assumes only a defensive possition, things will go well, but as soon as Israel assumes an offensive position, outside of their mandate, things go badly.
It is this aggressive posture that has helped bring the new nation of Israel face to face with the prophecies of scripture. "Because you have trusted in your chariots and in your host of warriors, turmoil is going to break out in your towns and all your fortresses will be laid waste." (Hos.10:13).
Hosea's prophecy confirmed in its fulfillment that the orders of Jeremiah were iron-clad; and they offer us a clear warning that the security of the modern Jewish state in Palestine has been placed in great peril by echoing the militant actions of its mirror past. (Ez.17:15-18).
I know it sounds wrong, unfair, and no other nation which has gained land from an enemy which attacked it and lost has ever given it back, but somehow Israel is different. God has strict rules regarding Israel.
Perhaps it can be seen that Sharon is retreating back to those origional lines, and will make his defensive stand from this point, more in keeping with scripture/prophacy.
Modern Israel came into being in precisely the same way that the doomed military state at the time of Jeremiah did -- because God mellowed the heart of the king of Babylon.
In view of this, Israel's military alliances and its aggressive stance in the Middle East would appear to have serious implications for its own future. We will soon see. You can bet the Muslims will continue their attacks from their new positions. How will the world react then? According to scripture, Israel makes an alliance with one of it's neighbors Egypt perhaps?
Qureia is just saying openly what the Sharon government, the Bush Administration, and American Jewish leaders have agreed to: Return to the 1948 partition enclaves, not just return to the pre-'67 lines.
I agree with your views. It fit's scripture better as well.
World view very well may change if the "Palestinians" continue attacking. Other terrorist activity around the world will change world views as well.
