The right-wing argues that the outing of Valerie Plames identity of as a CIA operative isnt significant. Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald, by all accounts a no-nonsense guy, disagrees. He continues to actively pursue the case and appears to be increasingly focused on Karl Rove.
From ABCs The Note this morning:
Based on ABC News sources (and our own video camera) it appears that at least two witnesses testified before the grand jury last Friday, both close associates of Karl Rove.
ABC News has learned that one was Susan Ralston, Roves long-time right hand. The other, per ABC News Jake Tapper, was Israel Izzy Hernandez, Roves former left hand (and now a top Commerce Department official). It isnt clear if either had been asked to testify before last week.
Looks like Fitzgerald doesnt believe Rove has been exonerated.

Is Mark Halperin a former Clintonite?
Being a special prosecutor is a lawyer's dream. A client with endlessly deep pockets.
Bush is at the ranch..Congress is scattered to the winds..They have to yap about something..
Guess the Left has given up on Judge Roberts and is now Back to ROVE!
I'm just shocked that FR allows ThinkProgress.org to be linked.
Gee, I don't have names for my hands.
Any freepers have names for their hands?
It could be that the witnesses were called in just to confirm part of Rove's story or to clear up an inconsistency. It's a bit of speculation to assume that the prosecutor is "zeroing in on Rove" for an indictment based soley on who walks into the grand jury.
They want to pin it on Rove but Fitz could be questioning them to verify COOPER's testimony.
Also making the internet rounds is all of the Bush Administration has been indicted....Here we've got a secret grand jury...yet someone has gotten the goods on the indictments. There claiming the investigation has expanded including 911, Afghanistan & Iraq War...that treason by our President is now involved. LOL
Halperin is the person that dictated his employyes go easy on Kerry, hard on Bush, in a memo Drudge released only hours before the Debate Gibson was to host.
This was around the timing of Rathergate so it didn't get the mileage it could have gotten otherwise.
This guy is having a waking wet dream.
He's living in a fantasy world.
If he can't come up with anything against Rove, it's going to be very embarrassing for the Dems and the liberal media.
Not in his heart.
When Clinton was beign pursued by Ken Starr the MSM correctly pointed out that there is no time deadline on the work of a special proscecutor, that these investigations tend to become careers with big expense accounts. Wonder why they haven't considered that 'no-nonsense' Fitzgerald might be milking this a bit.
I'm sure there is a brilliant retort to that, but can't come up with it right now.
But I thought Rove was the puppeteer. Now it looks like Rove himself has handlers. And they probably have handlers, too. The media just can't keep its story straight.
Hee hee
My right hand is nicknamed "wiper."
The left one, is named "Mr. Scratcher."
(Picture James Carville's stupid face on Larry King:)
"Aw Larry, Karl Rove is a Nazi stormtrooper who wants to starve our children..."
I want to do a parody now that Bolton's at the UN:
"Every mornin' at the UN Koffi could see him arrive
He stood 5 feet 9 and weighed 165
Big John......Big bad John"
