With all due respect, I think you are delusional. I can't imagine how anyone in the U.S. can keep a straight face while santcimoniously proclaiming that "a free Iraq" (whatever the hell that term is supposed to mean in a Third World toilet) is supposed to vindicate our military presence there.
The fly trap for the terrorists is also working and is a principle reason for us being there too. They are coming there to "fight the great satan" and they are dying by the thousands, probably tens of thoiusands at this point. That means they are not able to forment their plans and spread them selsewhere.
Noithing dilusional about that at all and I would appreciate your not introducing such vitriol into the discussion...it serves no purpose but to lessen your own arguements. the reason for going in to Iraq originally was not as a nation-building exercise, it was to remove a terorist-training and coddling regime that was demonstrating the impotence of the West against jihad. The purpose was to remove a threat to America that was a matter of when, not if.
We have completed that mission and now are in the process of rebuilding the country into something that will not become another threat in ten years.
Things that are worthwhile often take sacrifice and time to accomplish.
And you can't call someone "delusional" and qualify it "with all due respect". It is one or the other. And Jeff is the one who is realistic regarding Iraq.
