If a parent or a grandparent was born there, you can do the paperwork (takes about a year). Google the Irish embassy or consulate for more info.

I know that shop, that's Pat Crossan's, he is a good guy and a great singer.

Yeah, it was "Ireland's Own," I think. I talked to his wife both times I was there, but I never got to meet him, unfortunately.

As far as Irish citizenship goes, I guess I'm SOL. Both sets of grandparents were born in England, but THEIR parents emigrated from Ireland. Oh well...
