Well, gosh. Why hasn't the UN stepped in to address these ongoing atrocities?
/Sarcasm
I must be still on LSD,This just can't be reality!
We have sponsored a child in Kenya for over five years and recently learned he moved out of the sphere of support so was removed from the Catholic Charities agency's roles that managed our support. We heard his family moved to Uganda and was being contact.
Question: if we know all this now, why will it take months for the ICC to take action? And who will they expect to go in there and clean this mess up?
Africa has such a curse, it's unbelievable. You know... Jesus said if you offend one of these little ones, it would be better that you had a mill stone put around your neck and thrown into the ocean. This creep has a mighty judgement awaiting him.
At this point capturing this Kony won't save the children or the country. Everything Ive read and seen about Africas child armies shows children are are damaged beyond repair.
Is this another UN success story? /sarcasm
Most are. There are a few that can be salvaged but most are beyond saving. The heart breaking question is what do you do with them?
They have the same problem in Asia with child guerrillas. They are just kids. And that cute little 11 year old will kill you as casually as he would drink a glass of juice and smile while he does it.
It is hard to imagine a humane way of eliminating this problem.
Anyone here ever read "Lord of Darkness" by Robert Silverberg

>>Thousands of children have been taken by a Ugandan cult and forced to join in mass murder.<<
The very first thing that we should do is to bring these children to America where they can receive good rehabilitation! /end sarcasm!
Sadly I'm sure there are plenty of people who think love is the answer in this case.
Isn't this the cult that goes into villages and chops off a hand or foot of a random number of villagers, including children, to control them and to spread terror.
My daughter-in-law told me that there are 60,000 Liberian refugees in Minneapolis and they propose to "study" the child warriors who actr out in school. Wonder if they want Ugandans, too?
Those who live by the sword will die by the sword.
"This has been going on for years???"
Generations. Africa has a long history of child armies. I hate to say it but I think they need to be killed to end the cycle. It's not a job I would be comfortable sending American troops to do.
