Breaking News from CFRB 1010AM News Radio - Toronto
Airliner on fire on the ground at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). Unclear as to cause. Announcers asking for updates from motorists in the region on HWY 401. Report says great deal of smoke. I have to go into a meeting shortly but I'll listen for updates as long as I can.
Yeah, that's be a hell of a feeling, wouldn't it? Seeing the ground rush up, pulling the yoke, and nothing happening.
It's a miracle everyone got out of there alive.
Gen. Mitchell International in Milwaukee (KMKE) doesn't have more than 500 feet between either end of Runway 1L/19R and major roadways, and the southern roadway is in a rather deep trench.
I used to drive that freeway a lot and I would time my approach if I saw a jet on final about to cross over so I could drive under it. lol
Always loved to watch planes from the times we went to LAX and sat at the end of the runway when you could still do that! Now we'd probably be arrested.
Bump
WOW! that was a quick reply! I stand by my comment and why did the engines depart the aircraft so early??
Did you catch yourself ducking from time to time? :-)
LOL
Ok to recap...
You said:
"Grownups talk about evolution on evolution threads, trolls like you, who have no real argument or skill, bring it on to a thread about a plane crash.Go back to school, take debate, get that GED."
And you call me the Troll... Too Funny...
in 424, you told someone,
"Go make up a conspiracy about this flight tinfoil boy."
And you call me a troll.
in 375, you said:
"Go away conspiracy troll. I know a bit about airplanes, you just make crap up to serve your silly theories."
Seems like you are the one making things up in this thread, and you call me The Troll.
You use personal attacks on me and others and you say I'm the TROLL..
You post MULTIPLE FALSE CLAIMS in this thread while ridiculing others who posted, and you say I'm the TROLL.
I point out your obvious false claims, which you did to others in this thread, your response is to attack me, and you say I'm the TROLL...
Wow, what a concept of reality you must have.
Anyway, if that makes me a Troll in your eyes, I'll wear it as a badge of honor.
As to your ignorant false accusations of school, debate and a GED. No Thanks, I've been edumicated enuff by the publik skool sistim. lol lol
Thanks for the fun, I'll be watching your other claims from time to time as well. make sure you do your research.
Hey Joe, sucks the AVSIM forums are down today, huh? :)

Not mine, every one is perfectly executed and beautifully flared touchdown with total control at every second! (sarcasm)
Coming into Sea-Tac from the north, you fly over those residential neighborhoods and it seems the plane is barely going faster than the 35 mph traffic down below, and you wonder what's keeping the plane in the air. It sure doesn't seem like the plane is travelling 160-200 mph or whatever the approach speed is.
Hey Moose, yeah, I saw that earlier. lol
Although I've been here a bit longer. ;-)
PMDG release causing it they say. I wonder if we'll have to re-register. be ashamed to lose all my popular posts. lol
Both sides of that airport are right by the street. The far side has an industrial park where you can drive right up to the fence and watch them land. The runway is very close to the terminal.
Actually now that I think about it the end of the runway fence can be seen from the street that goes by there, I can't remember the name any more. There's not much they can do to change that either except move the airport. And, they have tried that already. It was proposed to move it to El Toro when the Marine Base closed, but the citizens of Mission Viejo won the battle and that area will become houses/condos/offices/shopping etc.
"We had a traffic pilot up here named Paul Brendle who survived two helicopter crashes. Some years later, we heard he committed suicide."
TWO?
Some guys just never get the word.
LOL...you are married to my husband!
Seen 405themovie.com?
Yes! That is SO funny!
Alright, folks, who's here like me?
When this first hit, with the pictures and all, weren't you just sick? On final, over the runway, and the plane crashes and blows up...
Weren't you glued to it?
And then weren't you praying that SOMEBODY would get out alive, but it was looking like it always does when a big plane goes down in a fireball?
And then when they reported there were some survivors weren't you feeling that there was at least a little ray of light in an otherwise distressing?
And then, when the reports hit that EVERYBODY made it, weren't you just positively GIDDY, like for a moment everything's somehow right with the world after all?
We are all the same.
