Breaking News from CFRB 1010AM News Radio - Toronto
Airliner on fire on the ground at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). Unclear as to cause. Announcers asking for updates from motorists in the region on HWY 401. Report says great deal of smoke. I have to go into a meeting shortly but I'll listen for updates as long as I can.
This may be a planned distraction to draw attention away from the issue of whether Karl Rove slipped some steriods into Rafael Palmiero's drink.

Webcam stated they believe as many as 60 may have escaped the plane.
Runway overrun pretty much rules out an engine stall. Thats very good news. Sure sounds like hydroplaining to me.
Remember the nutcase on Thanksgiving at LAX a few years ago? They immediately said it wasn't terrorism. The guy later ADMITTED he was trying to commit a terrorist act. Because he acted alone, the government STILL claims it wasn't terrorism.
Thank you! Thank you!
>>>Just saying that it cuts both ways.
That it does. Still annoys me, no matter which side its coming from.
Smoke billows from a passenger jetliner that caught fire Tuesday Aug. 2, 2005 after skidding off a runway in the rain at Pearson airport in Toronto in this image from television.(AP Photo/Ministry of Transportation)
I flew through that storm from Boston to Texas (don't remember if I flew to DFW or Houston that night).
Prayers for the crew and passengers.
Eyewitness: plane on landing looked too high and suddenly dropped dramatically, bursting tires; people with injuries began to emerge from plane as soon as it came to stop
CP24 (CHUM-TV)
An eyewitness said the plane landed long and he heard the reverse thrusters but knew they'd run out of runway.
Leah Walker, a radio reporter in Toronto, said she saw a third of the plane fall and that the rest became a fireball.
Prayers for all...
Pilot and unkown number of people taken to hosptial according to Euro News !
CTV: "Some passengers and the pilot have been taken to hospital."
Your bad.....:-)
A minimum of one hour flight time worth of fuel, I believe. Still a lot of jet fuel.
