It takes a village of idiots to bash Bush for his health! I was raised by a single mother, I'm obese because I ate too much and didn't get out enough. I'm tired of the Dims thinking that it takes the government to regulate everything I consume. How about having a chat with the parents who let the idiot box babysit their offspring? Computers, video game consoles, high fat/calorie/everything comfort foods... what happened to little league?

Seriously, it's happening more and more that when there is a serious Demwit article I find myself looking for the scrappleface tag.

We have the biggest budget of all time and guess what, the Democrats still whine about "funding." It's never enough for these a-holes. That's why we shouldn't worry about finally really cutting back funding - because these tools will piss and moan anyway.

And how hard is it to fund physical fitness? Running around the block for 30 minutes is exercise! It doesn't take funding to do that.

Where is the funding to help Hillary with her obesity problem? Under federal guidelines, she is OBESE.

Fat people are the canaries in the mine shaft of freedom. Last time a nation got "serious" about physical fitness they raised hell all over Europe, and called themselves Nazis.

"How dare the president be fit, while so many many Americans are fat."

The DNC is adrift, to the relief of all.

The party of forced taxation in the name of physical health is upset that Bush is *too* healthy.

What's next? Will they suddenly decide the "moron" Bush is too smart for them, too?

Near as I can tell, the President doesn't rely on anybody's physical fitness program to keep in shape. Rather he laces up his shoes, runs out the door, and pounds the pavement. No reason anybody couldn't do that.

The concept of local school districts being responsible for the physical fitness regimen is anathema to liberals.

Federal education grants to the states have expanded by 38% in 4 years, to over 53 billion dollars this year.

"Don't our kids deserve the same opportunities to be physically fit?"

****

Sure they do. Trouble is they don't take advantage of the opportunities that are already there...and/or the parents don't encourage them to do so.

LOL. Too true. Amen, I agree!

what happened to little league?

Thanks to the dems 'liberating' moms from child care and rushing them to the workplace and the long hours many work, kids are ferried from school to day care to afterschool programs, all graciously supplied by dems thanks to our tax dollars which mean mom has to work longer hours to make ends meet. And the dems will rush to her aid with more 'funded' (read: higher taxes) programs to help her work longer hours. Then mom and child (& dad if he's there, but who can keep a marriage working with all the long hours both work? No matter, they have a plan for that, too.) race home to a hastily prepared meal and household chores.

Computers, video game consoles, high fat/calorie/everything comfort foods...

Little time for little league. Then there's the perv factor. Our compassionate dems have 'released' perv's and other criminals because we all know how well they can be rehabilitated. And their temptations are cheap and easy to find (porn in videos, magazines, the internet...). Mom doesn't always feel so good about sending her little ones off to the boys & girls club or wherever until she gets home, so they entertain themselves with video games and tv shows. But that's ok, because the dems are working on that with their school breakfast and dinner programs.

But I'm guessing that most of us already knew that. ;-) Rant over... (for now).

The DNC's political grandstanding with such weak, unreasonable attempts to discredit Bush are getting embarrassing.

Typical DNC flailing to stay afloat.

From the Information Please Almanac:

The first swimming pool built at the White House was completed in 1933 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Roosevelt, who suffered from polio, built the pool in the West Wing so he could use it to help strengthen his upper body.

The New York Daily News newspaper helped him raise money from American citizens to pay for construction of the pool.

Little league isn't good for little Timmy. Loosing can cause serious psychological problems and esteem issues later in life. We have to protect out little ones from the evils of the "outside" world, don't we? He may be absolutely defenseless against all of life's little curve balls, but he will have a great outlook of himself and that is the important thing, right? Damn I'm good. I almost believed this BS myself. It all goes back to the parents and a lack of skills and motivation to raise their kids correctly. Let me get back to work... millions on welfare are depending on me!

make sure that all American children have access to physical fitness programs.

Here's yer fricking 'physical fitness program', right here.

If this is all the liberals have got, we have them on the run.

News last night said that Dubya's heart-rate was 40 beats per minute. That's professional athlete grade!

See, the problem is Democrats don't want to acknowledge that the president is and should be a role model. Willie *is*/was not.

While President Bush has made physical fitness a personal priority, his cuts to education funding have forced schools to roll back physical education classes and his Administration's efforts to undermine Title IX sports programs have threatened thousands of women's college sports programs.

Awww, you mean these kids are going to have to do things kids used to do, like ride bikes, walk to class, etc? Gee, that's a real shame.

What cuts are those? Funding for education under Bush has only gone up. Besides, any "cut" would be coming after his unprecedented increase in education spending, so they really couldn't be called "cuts."
