The Holloway/Twitty families have to be seething with anger for the sloppy and inept investigation by the Aruban authorities. As I've listened to and watched them, I concluded that they are being very careful not to damn the Aruban police and judicial system.
They are not dummies. They can't afford to alienate the Aruban authorities; they have to operate within that system of government. Had our FBI taken over the investigation from Day 1, maybe, just maybe, they would have gotten one of these young men to open up by now.
Despite the Arubans bungling the investigation from the start IMHO, it's basically "HANDS OFF" to the U.S.
Can you picture the U.S. permitting the Aruban police taking over the case of an Aruban citizen missing in America?
While no system is perfect, I'd like to believe that the U.S. would have done a better job of evidence-gathering, interrogation, etc.
Mark Fuhrman appears to have skilled advice on what needs to happen at this late date in the search for what happened to Natalee. BUT THE ARUBANS KNOW HOW TO SOLVE THEIR "MISSING PERSONS" CASES! No help, thank you.
I wonder how many unemployed private investigators there are on the island....
*
Would someone please hurry up and call Aruba LE and let them know that TJ Ward is hiding in the van der Sloot cistern/well/septic tank!
Just kidding.
;-)
He probably hit himself in the face with a shovel handle.
Excellent, I'll sell refreshments to the onlookers.
;-)

If we knew how many ex-cops are on Aruba (and Bonaire & Curacao), we could make a guesstimate of the total #. Then we'd need to know how many of the employed ones are currently on a job paying $1000 plus expenses for 8 hours worth of giving interviews in air-conditioned television studios PLUS getting book material skivvy...
Shouldn't they all be unemployed since Aruba is such a "happy island" with "almost no crime"?

The bulk of PI work is more akin to being a Roto-Rooter guy than it is the glamourous Hollywood version of installing gold-plated faucets in mansions with 8 bathrooms. Tracking down dead-beat dads, investigating the fiances finances, background check on the nanny, credit card debtors, insurance fraud...
LOL,,the hiding part.
I know. I've hired insurance investigators.
Just poking a little fun at Aruba's "outward face".
Yeh. I have a friend who does PI work. It's a mucky biz. Have a feeling she would kill for gig like Ward's.
It's clear that the Aruban govt and LE are going to play hardball now. Why did they arrest the "witness"?
I think they will begin to show their muscle, for some reason it appears this case is now taking a turn and not to the benefit of the T/H families.
I am saying that Dave Holloway went to the prison to see Joran and take him the Bible and A Purpose Drioven Life. Outside he ran into Paulus and had a conversation that lasted well over an hour.
At that time he did say that Paulus denied having made the "no body" statement. You and I are free to accept or disregard that statement but that is what he said about the meeting with Paulus.
Let's remember, folks, there are very few known "facts" about this case. LE is not releasing any information. Things get out that are true, some not true. I can only tell you what was said in that conversation on Greta regarding their meeting in front of the prison.
Not really a scenario but where there are discrepancies there is always room for speculation, don't you agree? I understand that the group she was with were not her best friends from school. The one girl, in particular, which was interviewed was smug, even smiling and seemed jealous, especially when talking about how Natalee was flirting with Joran. She couldn't get it in fast enough that he ignored Natalee. I got the impression that Joran was somewhat of a challenge to these girls, didn't you? I don't know, I just know this girl had it in for Natalee, that was obvious.
Female envy? But what I am curious about, given that in a group of girls there is always one bitchy one who is envious of the otheer girls, is how could one have been involved in her being missing?
I suspected the smiling back stabber thought Nat was just "getting all the attention" and was in denial about the gravity of the circumstances. I didn't suspect her of kidnapping or murder.

Re: Ernie Rizzo, the cowboy private eye hired by Paulus: In an interview, the detective, Ernie Rizzo, a former police officer in a Chicago suburb, provided details of his work for Hyde for the first time -- and described his disdain for politicians.
There goes that Chicago thing again. It just keeps popping up.
The girls that were with her that night sure do a lot of stammering and studdering when asked questions. Last night, Nancy Grace, was having quite a time with Katherine. First she said, they tried to call Natalle when she didn't come back and then moments later, she said they didn't because her cell phone was in the room. I think there is a lot more these girls know about that night and aren't telling the truth.
If the Aruban LE does stiffen its back and stonewall this investigation all Beth has to do is come on GMA,TODAY,Greta, O'reilly and Larry King and say the word BOYCOTT once, just once. I enthusiastically hope that she does and turns this Sh**hole of an island into a watered down version of Haiti! Let the Arubans eat dog for dinner.
"..what Mickey John reported in a Greta interview.."
I listened to that interview, and I understood Mickey John to mean something else, namely; the eternal hell-fire of damnation, and that those who wrongly accused him, arrested him, and trashed his house would meet such a fate on Judgement Day. One might need to watch the tape again to understand it.
