I originally said his motives were to create headlnes and spin the story so he can sell more newspapers. That is still true, but in addition, I believe he is simply playing both sides of the fence.

Reminds me of Casablanca- when LE moves in, "let's round up the usual suspects."

Thank you Froufrou. I just watched the O'Reilly video and it was facinating! As a mother of 2 teenage boys, I know that they need to be monitored as much as when they were younger. Joran's parents gave him too much rope and he hung himself. Mother Anita seems particulariy clueless. Imagine Joran drugging young tourist girls on a regular basis and bragging about it with no repurcussions. That is disgusting! Could it be that Deepak provided him with the drugs?

Jossy surely enjoys being in the know and having the TV exposure but I am grateful that he is there working so hard on the case and providing us mostly good information, IMO.

Well I think ole Jossy has a few motives here. One, he's selling newspapers. I know, I know, he has the biggest selling paper in the area. So when does that stop publications from trying to get more readership? Never.

Second, Jossy has taken a pro-US stance on this which bodes well with at least one political group on that island. It's a way to make the current leadership look bad.

Or, third, he has a good idea of really happened and is not willing to rock the local boats enough to give up someone else besides this one kid. He keeps 'finding' witnesses that lead searchers on dead ends. Why? To make it look like Aruba is helping, when in fact they are running out the clock.

What I am seeing right now with Jossy is no different than anything else we have seen from Aruba since this began. A whole lot of nothin'.

Heck! Jossy found the gardener who seems very credible. Also, he brought us the story of the confession and also the fingering of Deepak. Why is everyone so down on him? I believe that the Aruban police are mostly to blame as they seem way over their heads on this one, a sentiment that has been expressed multiple times.

Could his motive be to provide breaking and credible news about the case which is of interest to those both in Aruba and the United States? I give him credit for helping to keep this story alive for Beth and Dave. I heard him state that he has received education in the South and has ties to Mississippi. Possibly, he wants to see justive for Natalee, nothing more. Why do you think that there is any more to it than that? I am intrigued.

IMHO

#1) Jossy has far too much access to what is suppose to be non-public ALE info.

#2) He is revealing that info with his orchestrated media appearances.

#3) Whatever happened to Jossy Mansur's El Diario reporter Herbert Teal that reported on June 11th that some of the newspaper employees and ALE were tracking 3 men and 2 women that had possession of Natalee in a vehicle and was traveling somewhere in Aruba? We have not heard or saw hide nor hair of that reporter since.

#4)Jossy seems to add tidbits of info to his cable news reports each time.

#5)What actually has panned out that Jossy has reported?

I found the answer in post #450 transcript above. Here are the salient points:

REYNOLDS: We certainly think that is the story that he told his son. We think that it is really not true. We do think that there is information there. I think the boys have been talking.

Nat's uncle believes that Nat's family believes that is what Joran's father, Paulus, told his son. He then states that it is not true that Paulus told Joran the "no body, no case" statement. Given the above I, too, do not believe that PVDS made that statement to Joran.

Another rumor out of the way.

TA, I think that the Uncle was saying they didn't believe that that the statement, No body, no case was true. He thinks there is information out there to make a case. Thats what I believe he was trying to say....
