Welcome Back Gary. The team has missed you and time to unleash hell on the Aruban LE/Judicials.

I agree, stlnative. They all seem like Barbie clones to me. I do not think they are all that sheltered and innocent and it was particularly interesting the way one of them kept acting like she was ready to say more, and then looked at her girlfriend and clammed up.
I think they know -- or have heard -- a lot more than they're saying.
I'm not saying they are "bad" girls, just normal teens/young adults.

For example: Toespi referred to Joran in an earlier post as "a prize." The inference was made that 'one of her friends had something to do with her disappearance' because she 'won' said 'prize.' I imagine NH thought he was rather fat and couldn't dance. LOOKS 5, DANCE 3
There were others who made suggestions about NH that I found revolting. I stress to add this because I'm not interested in picking fights with Toespi or anyone else.
I also posted earlier that another site had an 'F NH' headline. There are ppl outside this forum who are much less kind in the way they respond to this case. Greta even posted one yesterday stating 'her mother should've cared more before she left home instead of after the fact.'
*TAquinas, thanks for not getting on THAT ride again, okay?

Roger That!!! L.A. Lady(cajungirl) A good ending to this case would be Urine kneeling. An unknown person holding a gun to the back of his head.
The unknown person then ask Urine, "Do you believe in Jesus?" Urine relies No!!! The unknown person replies, "Too bad!!! because your about to meet him. Bada Bing, Bada Bung Bada BAM!!!!
Just a little Saturday Morning ficticious drama, to go with that hot Java.

Good story...have you ever told him?! You should track him down and walk right up and pin one on him - right out of the blue! Right in front of his firebuddies!
So true about the height thing...upthread, someone mentioned Joran seems to have thinning hair. That's what I haven't been able to put my finger on...I knew there was something about his appearance that wasn't quite right and it wasn't the height and size. Wonder if he does have some kind of physical disorder...one that might explain the aggressiveness.

That genetic thing supposed associated with criminality. Remember it/ Can't remember if it was debunked
I think it is the XYY supermale genetic abnormality,,they are tall, have thinning hair and violent. This is courtesy of my husband who remembers everything.

I am curious,,where are you from? I mean what state?
I am just wondering if you live in the south.

Oh, my...you have one of those! I have the opposite, which leads to me prefacing a lot of questions with "Don't you remember when I told you (blah, blah, blah)."
He only hears the "blah, blah, blah." Kind of like the sound the grown-ups on the Charlie Brown TV programs make..."Wak, wak, wak, wak, wak..."
I've read multiple studies on imprisoned violent offenders but cannot specifically recall anything at the moment(NO CAFFEINE TIL I GET MY HEART RATE DOWN - BUT I NEED CAFFEINE SO I CAN THINK!).
So, I'm particularly interested in Lorenzo, who, it has been rumored may be related to Joran somehow. Lorenzo's apparently has a rep for aggression and criminality.

Isn't today Joran's birthday??
How thoughtless of us, did we forget?
And Lorenzo,,his pics are interesting. He has sort of a reptilian attractiveness. He really has a distinctive look, sort of depraved and sensual. Much more complicated than Joran and much deeper into whatever sick things are around him. I am intrigued by him.

I am remembering the XYY chromonsomal thing. Supposedly it was associated with being overrepresented in prison populations.
Tall, violent, thinning hair or premature balding.

Check out this abstract:
http://www.dowling.edu/faculty/Perring/fusco.htm
It looks like someone's thesis and speaks to the extra Y chromosome and the "Supermale."
Its a starting point, if you are interested in this line of thought on physiology and criminality. Would love to see Joran's genetic makeup...but other writers on this topic pooh-pooh using this kind of study. Guess it would typecast people or be an invasion of privacy.
I'd volunteer to be a part of such a study, as long as I get to see the results, and as long as I'm referred to as "Patient X" in the textbooks! I've already volunteered for a couple of studies but haven't seen the results yet. One was particularly interesting: a new way to read MRI's (something to do with math & algorithms, I think)...I didn't get paid but I got a free MRI.

I just did a google and remember when this was a hot topic. They are overrepresented in prisons but there, this is from memory, was alot of worry that we would test kids and label them and therefore they would become stigmatized.
Google has alot on this and there are no recent articles. But you can imagine the stink over "genetic profiling" and what it implies.

Is Lorenzo the one with the dredlocks? To me, he would be 'cuter' than Urine. I'm just guessing - keep in mind, I'm old!
"Barbie clones" sound like someone's a little envious!
CG - I grew up thinking I was street smart but I don't think I really was. I never thought about human trafficking until some girls were on tv talking about bogus modeling trips several years ago.
Interesting about the XYY genes and thinning hair/aggression. I hadn't heard that but it sounds reasonable.
Hummingbird, you have mail.

Yes, Lorenzo has a very distinctive look but I cannot pin it down. It is very self-assured and I agree with you on how he seems more complicated than Joran. I don't get the impression Joran is particularly bright in the general sense, in spite of his mother's beliefs to the contrary.
Years ago we had a next door neighbor with a kid very much like I perceive Joran. He, too, was big for his size. Constantly truant from school. While he lived here, he managed to manipulate the kids around him into various misdeeds. Graffiti, garbage cans on fire, car breakins, and after he and a couple of others were caught, the police found jewelry, etc. that had been stolen from from neighbors.
Of course, his mother couldn't understand why we were picking on them. They finally left, after being repeatedly asked to leave and crime rate dropped to zero.
The other parents, many oblivious to their kids' activities, finally had their eyes opened and I believe lots of curfews, extra chores, apologies, etc were forthcoming.
Very sad situation because I feel there was something physically wrong with the boy, combined with external factors, that set him up to his bad behaviour. I don't excuse his behaviour but I suspect something medically could have been done for him that would not have made him so susceptible to his "dark" side.
And, yes, I believe it is Joran's birthday. I think someone said they would have their dog leave a cake in the backyard for him! (something like that - it was funny - I NEED MY CAFFEINE - CRS!)

Don't anabolic steroids cause premature hair loss? And certainly aggression and violence. He WAS/IS a guy with an athletic scholarship, albeit in tennis I believe, not football or something like that where bulk is important.
Just a thought.

Yes, indeed, I can. Reminds me of the movie GATTACA.
