A tape can be spliced, but if it broke while recording, nothing past the time it "broke" wold be recorded. I don't know their procedure, but most places only review tapes if there has been a problem...they of course should have noted that a tape had malfunctioned..either the tapes are old or the recorder has a problem or that ever faithful -operator error- was the cause...

Absolutely! Such big money makes it a big target. They most likely have excellent suveillance . . . until it suits them not to have it . . .

Under Arubian law is it possible to get a search warrant for PVS's property? After searching everywhere else, it seems there would be probable cause.
I don't think Greta is in this for any reason other than to report the story and help in finding Natalee.
I think Greta has done an outstanding job of reporting on this. That is why I am so puzzled by her not making the connection between VDS and PVDS.
Mapping the history of the relationship between VDS and PVDS shouldn't be that difficult. I can't understand why this has not been explored by Greta. Seems a natural course to take when speaking about whether there is or isn't a cover up by VDS and PVDS.

The friendship/alliance between PVDS and VDS is obvious. Yet, Greta seems unaware of this.
I imagine she needs to be very cautious about stuff like that. If she starts making blanket accusations without concrete proof, she could spoil it for the H/T family, and also draw fire for Fox. It would do no one any good whatsoever if the American media gets kicked out of there . . . I think she is trying to be as fair to all parties as possible (which is why she has interviewed Mama Kalpoe, etc.), though you can tell she is most friendly and compassionate towards the H/T family.

I'm not saying Greta should be making accusations. But if she is going to show reasons why there might not be a cover up between VDS and PVDS, then why not show the reasons there could be a cover up? No need to make accusations, just report the histoy of their relationship. You know, fair and balanced! LOL!
