No, I don't have any theory just looking outside the box. The MB girls interviewed have contradicted themselves quite a few times. Even last night on Nancy Grace, Katherine was all in knots, first saying they tried to call Natalee and then saying they didn't because her cell phone was in the room. She also said Natalee was with Joran and then said she didn't see Natalee with Joran. The one girl, her name is Francis Byrd, interviewed very early in this, definitely did not like Natalee, you could tell. She hung her out to dry several times, even with a smile and she sounded a little jealous. She is also the one who when asked if Natalee returned to the hotel, she answered in an affirmative manner and then when pressed, said, "let's just leave it at that." I would love to find that interview. I think there is a distinct possibility that Joran may have left her at the beach and something else could have happened to her on the way back to the hotel or even around the hotel. The family should not rule that out and might be looking in all the wrong places.

No, I watched that interview between Greta and her (Francis Ellen Byrd) and she was quite clear. When she was asked, "did Natalee return that night to the hotel," she answered affirmatively (although I do not recall precisely what she said." Then Greta was really shocked and pressed her, that is when she said, "Let's just leave it at that." I remember it quite well because it stunned me that this girl saw her back at the hotel. She is also the friend who said that Natalee had been trying to get Joran's attention and had finally introduced herself to him.

The Mountain Brook girls did not do this crime. Why do you keep bringing them into this? They are not free to tell everything, plus, they are nervous on the telly. I will bet your bottom dollar that the VDS's will be heading off this island in September. Going back to Holland, putting JVDS in a place for rehabilatation. My guess is that is the reason for mind readers being there. They want to save the "happy eiland." This is all speculation as everything else on NH threads.

Well, I never have. I have woken up on my sofa with a real bad sinus infection, but I don't think that counts. :o)

Sorry, I'm in a goofy mood today. Apparently the blogger that wrote that is more of a sensationalist that an credible source. Take his/her comments with a grain of salt . . . and maybe some paprika. And a dash of cummin . . . Some bay leaves would be nice too . . .

Just out of curiosity, why is it some can speculate and others can't? If Joran contradicted himself twice in the same interview, the speculation would be rampant. But if a girl, who is obviously not telling all she knows, does it she is just nervous. Nancy Grace was astounded at what she was hearing, and rightfully so.

"===I believe that was explained already and it was determined that it was completely out of context. Anyone else remember that? It was discussed on FR for quite a while. No one else anywhere, even Joran, has said that she ever returned to the HI.

"=== That's the story that Joran hopes everyone will believe. It is true that shortly after Joran was arrested he had LE digging on a beach at 1:00 in the morning. This was reported in the Aruban newspapers. It is also true that Joran said he left her at the HI falling down drunk, but even he says now that was a lie. The list of known lies that lead up to the "left her alone on the beach" story makes it difficult to put much credence in it.

I think some of the interviews with the MB kids have been bad, but more because of the questions that were asked. I think the more relevant questions have probably been asked by the FBI and Natalee's mother when these kids aren't sitting in front of a TV camera. We would not know those questions and answers. I personally don't think any of these kids had anything to do with her disappearance. Remember how some people were oh so suspicious of her "ex-boyfriend" and made it sound as though this was a recent boyfriend. They were together in the 9th grade for petes sake.

Sometimes I wonder if people see things that they are a little jealous of and that makes it easier for them to hope for the worst. I cannot draw the same conclusions that you have from the information I have so far. I will try to find the NG transcript, but knowing NG and her interview style, I doubt it's going to change my mind.
