We don't think we are going to give anybody a job. That was in response to your stating that we are going to cost someone a job. If we have enough economic clout to cost someone a job, then we have enough clout to give someone a job. There are a certain number of jobs needed in the economy to provide the services that Conoco provides. If Conoco doesn't provide the services, someone else will.

I thought you said that boycotts don't work anyway? Well, if someone boycotts my place of work, I will get a job somewhere else. It will suck, but that, for example is why I don't work some place that I think is under the threat of a major boycott.

I think the key words are: 'that actually worked'....

Most of these type promotions will be followed by the members that are hard core and to a lesser degree by others in the public. It will only mean in the long run a shift in the purchasing groups from one brand to another. When the boycotted stations become impacted they will drop the price a penny or two and the other groups not participating will being to use them... cheaper and less congestion maybe. jmo.

I rarely use a gasoline credit card anymore even though I have one that my daughter uses. I normally will use a credit card like m/c which are accepted at most pay pumps now regardless of which brand of gasoline is dispensed. Convienent and allows for price shopping.
