This concern seems to me to be extremely overblown. There is a paranoia to this way of thinking that is out of line with anything seen in reality.
Besides, even if true, it does not alter the scientific fact of evolution.

Besides, even if true, it does not alter the scientific fact of evolution. The claim that all life evolved undirected from a single cell (now actually a group of cells-- score one for the creationists) is not a scientific fact.

This concern seems to me to be extremely overblown. Indeed. There was once a concern about the moral implications of Rock-and-Roll. That came to naught, too.
