You guys are Wahhabi wannabes with a very dangerous agenda to dominate every aspect of 300 million american lives with your fundamentalist interpretation of scriptures.

Evolution is not a theory like the gravity and electromagnetism or atomics you always want to group it in with. Thats just more deception, more of the Demented gambit.
Why not? Because you say so?
Do Demented knuckleheads ever stop repeating a lie after it has been explained to them why it is a lie?
No one has adequately explained why the theory of evolution is not comparable to the theory of gravity. A few people have tried, but ultimately they could not make a coherent case.

It turns out he was saying that when one's calculations don't fit it could be a problem with math, logic, model, other influences.
Hmmmmmm.....

The most intriguing is "live rabbit versus dead rabbit." What is missing from one to the other that makes it no longer living? Great question.

Oh, but MANY get hit and survive. Some dudes even more than once!
http://sky-fire.tv/index.cgi/lightning.html#cmoreonce
Can you survive a lightning strike more than once?
Some people like to push the odds. And at least one person has been hit by lightning some seven times and survived. An American park ranger by the name of Roy Sullivan was nailed seven times between 1942 and 1977. Known as the "human lightning rod", Mr. Sullivan survived being struck although his hair was set on fire twice and he suffered burns on various parts of his body. But he lived.
Kids, he was a professional. Don't try that at home. While being struck by lightning does not mean automatic death, especially who knows CPR is nearby, who wants to take that kind of chance?

Marxism is a clear failure; attempts to set up government under his philosophy simply don't work. QUICK!!!
Someone tell the Democrats!

I think your analysis of the issue is correct here. I hold to the view that science is science, and religion is religion. The question of whether God exists is not one of science, but of religion, of faith. So, of the two, I am closer to your second than your first. (Although I believe that it is perhaps an ironic truth that the people who you will find who view evolution in the first sense you set out, are the biblical literalists/Young Earth Creationists. They just don't believe in it, but that is how they view it. Vulgar, indeed.)
In fact, if I were to describe my religious feelings currently, I would say "agnostic" in recognition of the fact that you cannot prove either the existence of God nor the non-existence of God, nor that any one faith is true. But my feelings on the religion question has changed. (The aforementioned biblical literalists/Young Earth Creationists on these threads are to thank, in part, for my whithering faith, as their argument that evolution and a strict reading of Genesis (and therefore, in their minds, Christianity) are incompatible has some traction. So I jettison Genesis.)

Assume (this isn't a wild scenario) that you have an ocean full of organic molecules. They naturally combine, and form long, complex chains. It's what they do. Nothing can stop them from doing it. That's how the chemistry works. And now assume that you have billions of years to play with, which indeed, the earth has had. Bear in mind that you also have billions of molecular interactions going on every second of every day!Now ASSUME that's where we came from, cause you sure got no PROOF of it!

On a more sober note, how the heck do you get superscript from html?
Like this:
I think you aresuper! I think you aresuper!
You did NOT come from a subhuman! You did NOT come from a subhuman!

We have a number of strings.
1) AAAA
2) AAAB
3) AABA
4) AABB
5) ABAA
6) ABAB
7) ABBA
8) ABBB
If we demand that only the third one of these strings 'AABA' win the the probability is 1 out of 2 letters(A,B) for each position. so we have 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 or 2 4 or 1 out of 16. The probability is .0625
Now I am confused!
If you've got EIGHT strings and only the THIRD one can win, why aren't the odds one in eight?
Are these letters A and B somehow being chosen to CREATE these strings?
Or are they fixed, like written on eight separate pieces of paper and drawn from a hat?

I have never smoked and rarely drink, and my extended family is notoriously long lived, healthy, and tends to look younger than our ages.Same here 'cept I don't much about my extended family. Dad died at 62 Mom at 93. I looked young for a long time, but one day this OLD dude was staring out of my mirror at me!
(And he was still there this morning!)
