Couric to Decide 'Today' Status This Fall
17 minutes ago
Katie Couric says she'll decide this fall whether to continue her long-running morning television partnership with Matt Lauer. The "Today" show co-anchor faces the question because her contract expires next May.
"I have, when it's operating on all four cylinders, one of the best jobs in television," she told The New Yorker magazine. "At the same time, everybody needs recharging."
Couric, 48, has been approached by CBS News about its evening news anchor job.

Go for it, Perkster. It would be the deathknell of CBS News and that's "news we can use".

CBS really wants to die on the vine quickly if they are considering this move.

She's passed her sell-by date.
No matter how many gay trumpet players she dates, she won't be able to recapture her youthful cute-and-perky look.

Having dropped to last place of the alphabet news programs, CBS wants to see how much lower it can go.

Just like most 4-cylinder cars aren't serious powerhouses, her career isn't anything to brag about either.

Deflation? Or perhaps Katie not as tuned in to things as she thinks she is?
I know no one who watches "Today". No one.

ROFL! Oh is this why she was wailing about some phantom "people" going after her with baseball bats!
It's because she's vying for a job and she's not liking the scuttlebutt.

CBS News apparently doesn't want to see MSNBC steal their thunder by dipping below the 1000 viewer mark first.
