NEW YORK-Lauren Bacall tells TIME Tom Cruise is not a great actor. "When you talk about a great actor, you're not thinking about Tom Cruise," Bacall says.
"His whole behavior is so shocking. It's inappropriate and vulgar and absolutely unacceptable to use your private life to sell anything commercially, but I think it's a kind of sickness."

Many gifted actors have been manic/depressive types. Cruise appears to be manic this summer.

" How did you kiss him? And where did you kiss him?" That's disgusting! Frankly, you sound like a very jealous gay guy. To each his own.

Two other reasons come to mind: post stroke victims experience disinhibition of emotion and dementia patients especially in the early stage where they appear normal.

Cruise wasn't in Young Guns. Maybe it was a movie with a similar title? That would be Charlie Sheen: a poor man's Tom Cruise.

Watching Scientologists duke it out with Psychiatrists is about like watching the Mormons go at it with the Jehovah Witnesses. They're all cults.

you hit the nail on the head,, I was going to say the exact same thing
if Bacall hadn't known and married Bogart nobody would have ever remembered her name,, exactly like Hillary with "the bent one"
Bacall was a lousy actress

Another is that as you get older and with death looming on the horizon (due to arrive virtually any day)you figure..."What the Hell? I mean, how many days left will I have to be embarrassed and to take the heat?" This is a particularly teasing temptation in cases where the a_ _hole really
DESERVES to be put in his or her place. Or where the issue at hand involves such crass absurdity, lunacy, banality, or utter stupidity that even if you had ALL of your dopaminergic and serotonergic neurons working perfectly you would be still be tempted to call a spade a spade with colorful language and detailed flippancy.
I can personally testify to this. And the EIGHT years wore down whatever self-control I had left in this area.
Besides, a pushy dork in a psycho cult for celebrity kooks practically wears a "Kick Me" sign (particularly when he has an ADHD spaz attack on Oprah). And Lauren has always been fairly blunt anyway.

Thank you. I'm going to hell for what that picture made me think.

The
EIGHT years of Clinton, that is.
Mrs. Bush (Sr.) demonstrated the phenomenon when she made the comment about Hillary saying it rhymes with "witch." It is partly just Natural Law. Sometimes you just HAVE to say what is on everyone's mind.

Is that photo shopped? Bogies head looks too large for his body size. Out of proportion but then many actors are known for having abnormally large heads, literally and figuratively.

On behalf of Bogie, FIVE PACKS of Chesterfield's KINGS (non-filters) washed down with Old Kentucky daily is not exactly a body-building or fitness formula.

"You knew here in a professional sense. I knew her ( peripherally, but in the flesh and up close and personal, with her in her underwear ) as she was when NOT working. And I saw her and sadly heard her, for YEARS."
This is true. However, when you spend a week or two on a set with someone, you usually get a pretty good picture of a person. The days can be long, and sometimes boring as hell while you wait for all the setting up. Tensions can get pretty twisted.
Try adding FX into the mix, and you get a real good idea how to separate the good people from the total schmucks.
I can only speak for what I saw. She certainly was a large presence while she was around, and unlike other actors I've been around, she treated everyone pretty well.
She's had a fairly interesting life. I would love to have been around the Industry during those times.
To: HowlinglyMind-BendingAbsurdity
If that was the case then Bogies head should've looked like this too.
shrunken head

Not necessarily. Kidney and liver damage can cause facial swelling which makes the head visibly larger in appearance.
