I have to agree with you on this. I'm as softhearted as anyone, but this was just some aborted doggies. We do much worse everyday with no punishment. I've seen cows gutted and hung and the hide removed while still kicking. I don't like it, but if I want steak, we can't have a coroner to pronounce them dead before the work starts.Personally, I would have shot them in the brain pan if I needed to rid this Texas town of these pesky doggies.

The truth is, the same people that rant about the dogs demise, won't ever go to the pound to get one. If it doesn't have papers and cost $300, they ain't interested. Millions of babies scream and writhe in agony as they are dismembered, but there is no punishment for their murders.

If you've never butchered your dinner, you can't fathom the difference between an animal and a human. I don't want animals to suffer, but that's a far cry from what we allow to happen to humans.

BTW, THis is why the Bible says we have dominion OVER the animals. They don't have souls, contrary to what the PC crowd thinks. There is no evidence that animals go to heaven or hell. We have many posters here that talk of being with their animals in heaven. Jesus is the reason for heaven, not Fido. Animals are here to serve us, not the other way around. I don't revel in an animals pain, but I know the difference between animals and human.

YOU have EVIDENCE that there IS a Heaven and Hell? Or do you just have Faith.....Do you have EVIDENCE that animals won't be in Heaven and that they have no Souls? Or are you basing that on Faith?

I have 4 dogs which I picked up from the pound. I think these people should be fired.

Arrogant little b*stard, aren't you? The concept of pets in the year 0 was pretty much a non-sequiter. Today, we have learned to add animals to our lives. They display love, they have intelligence (cats and dogs are apx. a 3-year old), and they fulfill a role in our lives.

God put these here to be part of our lives. If I die and I see you instead of my beloved pets, I will ask to be sent Down South.

The Bible was written to directly address a bunch of illiterate, barely civilized near-savages. The fact it is silent on pets one way or the other does NOT remove them from having souls. But it would have complicated things incredibly if they tried to describe how a sould could exist in a being that can't understand Minstering.

I hope you get the heaven you deserve. With selfish, shallow little people just like you.

"A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel."

As to "this is why the bible says we have dominion over the animals"-- Dominion over the animals/over all the earth was given in Genesis 1. (God happened to bless the animals there, also). It wasn't until after the fall that the shedding of blood would be required for the remission of sins. So butchering and killing animals was not originally part of the 'dominion' package.
