I wouldn't even want to imagine what goes on in our huge chicken farms over here.Conditions in American chicken farms are deplorable, and knowing that, I can't stand to eat chicken any more. At least our Wyoming cattle roam free for most of their life before going to the feed lots.

Unfortunately until the consumer is willing to pay the true price for keeping chicken in a good condition it will not change.
My grand parents considered chicken a delicacy not an everyday meal which was because they were expensive to raise. The farmer is not going to produce anything that does not make money so we have to be prepared to pay more in order that the chicken are treated in a humane manner.
