A source of supply for these items are the TSA airport screeners. I hear they have 50 TONS of confiscated knives, lighters, scissors, etc. < /off sarcasm -- partly> It isn't a ridiculous idea at all.... awhile back I pinged our buyer, Winmag, to a thread about TSA sales on ebay! -for him to keep an eye out. Now... he's pretty good at spotting bargains, but he won't settle for anything substandard in quality. I don't know if he was able to find anything that wasn't junk. If someone's got a quality knife, they probably don't just give them up, they mail them home.

I know we're talking about GWB, but as for me, I'm not betting on diet anything. Can't stand the chemical taste.

I'm betting on Diet Pepsi. All 'right thinking' people drink Diet Pepsi. : )
I can only say, thank goodness it isn't illegal, 'cause I'd be on the FBI's most wanted list.

The FR Hobbit Hole group has been contributing to a small project to buy pocketknives and other needed tools for our deployed soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. It started out as care and comfort packages, and grew into pocketknives because they learned that, while sweets and snacks were good, there were very practical tools such as a good pocket knife that our troops didnt have unless purchased by the individual soldiers. Since the Hobbits started they have shipped 700 knives as well as other tools, flashlights, EMT shears, seat belt cutters, and other gadgets to our troops overseas. But the project has grown to the point where more donations are needed. Thank you so much for the mention! Wolfstar!
Please support our Hobbit Hole Pocket knives for the troops project.

Laura Bush is undoubtedly THE REAL SMARTEST WOMAN IN THE WORLD because she married George W. Bush. His intelligence is obvious because he married her!
Thanks for this marvelous Saturday Dose, Wolfstar. It's always welcome at my house, particularly today since I'm taking a breather from cleaning carpets. I'm breathing real hard looking at these pics of Dubya. LOL

That's pretty disgusting. I wouldn't even want to imagine what goes on in our huge chicken farms over here.

I would say that the diet variety is less healthy than the full sugar one. The sugar alternative in the diet one rots teeth and in some cases are shown to have a carcinogenic incidents in those with that propensity. Having said that I in fact prefer diet coke to the normal.

...he DOES kinda look like he is trying not to wobble...He tends to hold his arms out from his side a lot. Not as much as in that photo, though, which I think was caught just as he turned around from saying thanks to the doctors. Don't know why, but have always thought maybe it's due to a bulletproof vest.

I actually don't drink diet anymore, because it is supposed to be bad for people with tendon problems, as I have from being a transcriptionist for 20+ years. It took me awhile to get used to the taste, but once I did, I drank about a six-pack of Diet Pepsi a day. Yikes!
As you can see, I am an "addictive" personality, whether it's the dose or what I imbibe!

Thank you. Before I retired my job required a lot of climbing and walking and when in shipyards even a lot of bicycling, and it is hard to make the transition to intentional exercise from just incidental exercise. But I am getting better all the time.

I just bought another 50 lb. sack of soybeans, Have you tried black soy beans? I buy them canned from a health food place and use them instead of the other, higher carb beans I used to eat before Atkins. The black soy beans are great in chili and have much lower carb rates, and therefore, a lower effect on blood sugar, since I'm a diabetic. I guess I could eat all meat chili, but I like my beans.
I used to drink a lot of soy milk since I'm lactose intolerant, but that was almost like drinking sugar water to my system. I haven't been able to find a low carb soy milk and so have given it up. sigh. Just shows that what's good for some people is almost poison to others.
