I like this altitude better. More time to think on the way down. Twenty thou ought to be just about right. They should remain conscious all the way down. Nude, and rigged with a parachute and mimimal training on operating the chute. Then they have a choice which will not be related to them. Landing in the North Sea by chute, where they may last another 15 minutes until the water temperature gets them, or not pulling the ripcord, no auto deployment.

You guys are spending WAY too much money.
Use a crane with a bunge cord, like they do at a carnival. Place it over a hog pen so he hangs a foot or so above the ground and let the pigs at him.
