BOMB AWAY!('Stealth' review - laughable)

STEALTH" imagines what would happen if a totally automated Navy bomber suddenly blew a microchip and started behaving like a 16-year-old girl.
The robot jet, called "EDI" (pronounced "Eddie"), illegally downloads MP3s (I'm not kidding), plays inappropriately loud rock music, sasses its superiors and finally hangs up on them. It even whines, "Leave me alone" in a flat yet sarcastic techno-voice that suggests HAL in "2001,'' KITT on "Knight Rider" and Paul Lynde on "Hollywood Squares."

When I need laughs this Fall I'll rent the DVD from Blockbuster.

That's good. A lot more people will now see a very good family movie, Sky High.

Hah! Reviewer calls it "roboflop!" Might make a good comedy when it comes on one of the movie channels.

The pilots, who refuse to complete missions because of their own freelance estimates of civilian casualties, sound less like warriors than members of PETA. One aborts a bombing raid on some nuclear bomb smugglers because onboard computers say "1,000 mammals" are nearby. So cows trump nukes? He He

The truly 'funny' part about it is - I'd actually pay $7.50 to see a commercial free documentary on stealth technology.
Can't imagine I'd watch this if you paid me $7.50 with unlimited free refreshments.

Hey, thanks. I was just about to go see this.
It was the only show I could find that didn't bash Bush or conservatives. Which by the way, even 'The Island' took a swipe at him.

Is it being marketed as a comedy?Nope, but I think they should get the word out fast to recoup their losses.

I noticed the second round of commercials for this dropped the evil plane and just focused on the fighter jocks. Always a bad sign for a movie when they decide the plot (such as it is) isn't generating interest.

Why not just two hours of Jessica Biel swimming? The budget would be low and they'd sell more tickets.
