How gullible the Pubbies continue to be. Tony Snow this morning said they need to replace their elephant logo with a weinner.

They are a pathetic lot. Next time the RNSC sends me a donation letter, it's going back with a Post-It note telling them to shove it. I'm not giving them money just to have Democrats run the Senate.

What Senate Republicans need is a Tom Delay.

I'm really confused how this works.. The chairman sets a date for the hearing, interested committee members show up, the interviewee shows up, questions are asked, everyone goes home.

I can't help but think that if our guys had any ba**s, that's the way it would in fact work. WTF is there to negoitiate, for Crizzakes? I swear, it's way past time for Republicans to grow a pair.

I think they're trying to negotiate the end date, and the Dims are refusing to commit to that part of it.

If that's correct info, then this could be good news, resulting in an earlier start date. Or not.

I know that her husband is ill. Makes it more strange that she made the statement.

Old Arlen better hurry with those hearings or Sean (RNC talking point) Hannity is going to have a breakdown. He is gonna go absolutely certifiable nuts. Methinks maybe he doth protest too much.

Damn Arlen, you're the Chairman of the committee and pubbies make up the majority. How 'bout a letter to the ranking RAT that says, simply, "The hearings will start Sept 6, at 8am at (where ever they're bring held). Be there or be square. We'll happily start without you."

Geeze, grow some cojones and get a spine will ya?

And even more important, I'm not giving them my VOTE. House Republican? Yes. President? Yes. But not the Senate. They have lied and fooled me for the last time. Never again will I vote for a Republican Senate candidate.

We know the Democrats have the public lynching dated as of a week ago.

Well, I might exempt Sessions. Maybe Inhofe and a handful of others that are generally principled. The majority are by no means so, though, I agree.

Specter, they don't like you because you registered with the wrong party. Just let them go and do what you need to do - you have the authority as chairman. Quit playing nice with Leaky Leahy.

The Demrats pull. . .and the Repubs fall.

Am so sick of the 'rats'; wish they could all be tried for treason - for their dedicated efforts to undermine and destroy our Country. . .and be penalized accordingly - a firing squad would be fine with me.

Am also and unfortunately, sick of the Repubs who seem to take a peculiar pleasure at being jerked around by these 'rats'. . .

Txsleuth, at this point, I've never been happier both the Congress and the Judiciary are GONE. I want them on a permanent vacation.

Tough for Frist to be worse than Lott, he's certainly in competition. Though for all his compromises to the Dems, no one doubted Lott was the Leader of the Senate Republicans. Frist should just step down now and let Mitch or Sessions take over.

They've been pulling this sort of crap for 4 freakin long years and the pubs seem to be in the dark all the time...GRRRR!! Who the HELL has the majority there? Call a freakin special session and if you show up great and if not...TOO DAMN BAD! I am so sick of the wimpy pubs...sick of it!! Also, the drilling in Alaska fell through...I guess the pubs haven't grown a spine yet..sigh! Hey, but they are going to name a 24million dollar highway for one of the Alaskan Senators there!! :(

We have the majority and we need to start showing some more force out there. We need to get ANWR opened, an immigration policy and Roberts in the S/C... I have faith that it will all happen before Bush's term is up.
