"Worst economy since Hoover!"

Even the NYT is grudgingly starting to admit that that's wrong.

Wonder what the dems will say about a 9th straight quarter of 3% growth? Heh, heh...

Thank God, Kerry didn't win or we'd be hearing how the baffoon turned around the economy.

Comparing similar time periods in the last two administrations.

Bush Clinton +/-

2003q1 1.7 1995q1 1.1 +0.6
2003q2 3.7 1995q2 0.7 +3
2003q3 7.2 1995q3 3.3 +3.9
2003q4 3.6 1995q4 3.0 +0.6
2004q1 4.3 1996q1 2.9 +1.4
2004q2 3.5 1996q2 6.7 -3.2
2004q3 4.0 1996q3 3.4 +0.6
2004q4 3.3 1996q4 4.8 -1.5
2005q1 3.8 1997q1 3.1 +0.7
2005q2 3.4 1997q2 6.2 -2.8

AVERAGE 3.9 Bush, 3.5 Clinton, Bush economy is +.3 on average better than the Clinton economy.

So, the US economy has grown MORE on average during the comparable time between the present and last administrations. What about those roaring 90s? What happened?

Who knew?

This is the second article in just as many days by the same writer at the NY Slimes touting the strength of the economy. The real miracle is that he is still employed with the Slimes.

Proposed NY Times and Moveon.org slogans:

Worst economy in human history!!!

Worst economy since caveman days....
[oh, wait, that's what they're going back to in Cuba, Zimbabwe, Myanmar, and other commie paradise lands.....]

OK, how about:

Worst economy since 1837!!!!

I'll tell ya, Bush is a genius every time. They can't complain about the economy now (not saying they won't tho). Liberal losers!

Unfortunately I have a liberal family that refuses to belief the economy is good while a Republican is in the White House.

Still, business is booming for my company and we are working lots and lots of OT.
