Judge John Roberts
When it comes to insisting Supreme Court nominees discuss how they would rule on future cases, Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., has apparently done a philosophical U-turn.
The senator has been vocal recently about President Bush's nominee John Roberts, saying the federal judge "will be expected to answer fully" any questions about his views on controversial issues; but the Democrat sang a different tune in 1967, when he noted that candidates should "defer any comments" on such matters.

This can be pointed out in this venue every day, but this must be thrown in his face by fellow Senators before cameras. Every time he opens his month Orin Hatch has to counter with his own words and ask for an explanation.
I seem to remember that Hatch and Kennedy are actually good friends. Therefore, I don't expect to ever see that happen. Hatch is too much of a gentleman.
Hey Teddy !!! Who's yo daddy ???
Yesterday I received a call from the RNC seeking donations. The guy started with $75.00 and I got a little nasty when I told him I won't give one thin dime until the Republicans (who are the majority) start setting the agenda in this country. He kept lowering the amount until he got down to $25.00 and I told him I would consider contributing once the people we gave the majority to grew some balls.
I mentioned that all I said would fall on deft ears but he said it would be heard because they tape all the calls.
I am so glad that we will be winning this years "Miss Manners" award.
The guy from the RNC also mentioned that he has heard a lot of what I said from other people.
