It doesn't mean we have to just accept it. Those people right here on FR who read a New York Times article and immediately react just like the NYT wants them to irritate me.

It also doesn't mean that just because the media ignores it (for example the multitiude of positive ocurrences in Iraq's progress) it's not news.
