WASHINGTON, D.C. Congressman Tom Tancredo (R-CO) denounced the Republican elites emerging campaign to outmaneuver the partys base on the issue of immigration control and border security. Former high-level officials at the RNC and the Bush-Cheney 2004 campaign are orchestrating a multi-million dollar effort on behalf of big business to sell the Presidents illegal alien amnesty plan, The Los Angeles Times reported this morning.
Let me get this straight. Our most loyal supporters give up their vacations to walk door-to-door for our Republican candidates. They hand out bumper stickers and put out yard signs. They convince coworkers which way to vote over the water cooler. And this is the reward they get? With that kind of thanks, the base is beginning to wonder if it was all worth it, said Tancredo.
The article reveals that big business groups are paying $250,000 a piece to fund a media war chest to counterbalance the echo chamber of conservative talk radio even though the President and Republican leadership used that echo chamber with great success to bypass traditional, liberal media outlets.
Liberals are investing millions of dollars to build a media empire to match the one the conservative movement created over the last generation. If the GOP leadership tries to disconnect the partys direct line to the base, well be kicked out of here faster than you can say minority party, noted Tancredo.
Tancredo concluded, Good policies beget good politics. Last week I introduced the only comprehensive immigration, border security and guest worker bill in Congress. It will keep the American economy strong while strengthening our national security. My plan wont require a multi-million dollar sales pitchthe grassroots are already on board.
Yadder, yadder, yada, same old, same old lipstick on the tancredo/buchanan pig.
Sheesh when is the Catholic tancredo/buchanan team ever going to get over their fear of their fellow Catholics(i.e Latin Americans)?
I guess given the buchanan animus towards Jews, the buchanan/tancredo team would rather have Jew haters(i.e islamofascists) immigrating to the US rather than Roman Catholics.
So what? Please for the life of me - whatever you do for a living, how would you feel if your once decent paying profession or livlihood was sold out for cheap illegal labor working for peanuts and living like animals?
Uh you aren't living like an "animal".
Animals don't post on the internet, unless you are KoKo, the AOL posting ape.
BTW, before you use KoKo as a reply against me, do a web engine search first.
"All TALK, and NO walk!"
Kind of like Bush's War on Terror lol.
Kind of like Bush on illegal immigration.
Kind of like how Bush strengthened the CIA and a host of other things.
I voted for him because he was the best choice...but he is what he is, a GOP elite....TALKER.
Uh, did U.S. Representative Tancredo really backstab tom delay? Oh, wait, it must be true or you wouldn't have posted it at least five thousand times here on Free Republic.
Uh jj, tancredo ran as fast he could to the liberal media to say that Tom Delay should "step aside".
There are many archived threads on FR about that fact.
If you consider living 20 or 30 to a small room or house living like a human than try it yourself and see if you keep spouting the same nonsense you do.
Although I don't know you personally, I am convinced you have a vested interest somewhere in this country just getting flooded beyond recognition with low skilled non-english speaking people.
If Tancredo is an embarrassment to the Coloradans who keep him in office, then why do they keep him in office?
Are you chris1 living 20 to 30 in a small room? I already know the answer(you are not), but what the hey it's fun to prove you wrong.
Although I don't know you personally, I am convinced you have a vested interest somewhere in this country just getting flooded beyond recognition with low skilled non-english speaking people.
I have no financial or vested interest at all, what I do have an interest in, is disproving your hillary talking points.
"Kyl/Cornyn plan"
That is worthy of reading and considering. I'd be interested in reading on the many bullets that are listed in the article. I will read it when I get some time in the next week or so.
In addition, I'd be very critical of two things: 1) ensuring that the worker program is not an effect an amnesty program 2) an amendment that says amnesty is against the principal of the comprehensive reform and 3) does it have the teethe of enforcement, implementation and feasibility.
Thank you rb for not going the knee jerk tancredo route of "quisling, traitor" etc. etc.
Much appreciated.
Kyl/Cornyn is going to be oversahdowed in the liberal media by mcCain/kennedy in the Senate, but I say the more who read Kyl/Cornyn the better.
Well I'm a strong Bush supporter. I appreciate the leadership he has taken on the War on Terror (although I think we should be alot tougher)...
But I vehemently disagree with him on the Immigration issue. We cannot allow illegals to willy nilly come into the country.
There are many archived threads on FR about that fact.
I know. I was just having some fun at your expense.
JMO, tancredo wishes for the people looking for work to come over the border willy nilly to continue, since it keeps his(tancredo's) meal ticket going.
Bush/Kyl/Cornyn wish to make the process orderly and lawful and to document all those looking for work and the employers who hire them, thus giving more security.
Do you work for the RNC?
The biggest laugh of all is all the publicity you give to the Buchanans.
LIKE you, I have the luxury of observing, and commenting at will about those who fail to deliver (other than words) on anything they're paid (elected) to. That's who I am, and Tancredo is still a FReepin' LOSER!
