Tancredo Denounces GOP Elite’s Attack on the Base

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Tom Tancredo (R-CO) denounced the Republican elite’s emerging campaign to outmaneuver the party’s base on the issue of immigration control and border security. Former high-level officials at the RNC and the Bush-Cheney 2004 campaign are orchestrating a multi-million dollar effort on behalf of big business to sell the President’s illegal alien amnesty plan, The Los Angeles Times reported this morning.

“Let me get this straight. Our most loyal supporters give up their vacations to walk door-to-door for our Republican candidates. They hand out bumper stickers and put out yard signs. They convince coworkers which way to vote over the water cooler. And this is the reward they get? With that kind of thanks, the base is beginning to wonder if it was all worth it,” said Tancredo.

The article reveals that big business groups are paying $250,000 a piece to fund a media war chest to counterbalance the “echo chamber of conservative talk radio” even though the President and Republican leadership used that echo chamber with great success to bypass traditional, liberal media outlets.

“Liberals are investing millions of dollars to build a media empire to match the one the conservative movement created over the last generation. If the GOP leadership tries to disconnect the party’s direct line to the base, we’ll be kicked out of here faster than you can say ‘minority party’,” noted Tancredo.

Tancredo concluded, “Good policies beget good politics. Last week I introduced the only comprehensive immigration, border security and guest worker bill in Congress. It will keep the American economy strong while strengthening our national security. My plan won’t require a multi-million dollar sales pitch—the grassroots are already on board.”

"Yep - I'll survive 8 years of Hillary ..."

I'm not afraid of her either. I don't plan to sit around and cry if she wins, I plan to fight her every step of the way.

All TALK, and NO walk!

You seem oblivious to your self indictments.

If he's a loser and don't walk the talk, where are you?

Other than on a keyboard, that is?

Absolutely. Finally, a politician who reflects the reasonable views of most Americans, that nuclear weapons aren't just giant paperweights.

As for the depiction of Tancerdo over that comment, context is not the media's friend.

Tancredo's theme song should be "You're so Vain Dane".

Below is, IMO, the typical mindset of the typical tancredo supporter, with the help of Queen paleo bay buchanan.

Here is an email I received from Bay Buchanan of Team America. A lot of you might have already heard about this.

Bush and Congress are untouchable monsters and as they have demonstrated over the past few months, can do any fuckin thing they want.

Tom Tancredo is the only person that WILL save this country. He currently is NOT a candidate from President, but millions across the U.S. are holding their breath for a thumbs up.

The filth that is George W. Bush, the spread-legged whores in Congress, and the corporate Mafia are scared of Tancredo. They are scared to death that Tancredo could be the one man who could destroy their master plan of coverting this country to a cheap-labor cesspool while jamming incalculable profits up their already-rich anal tracts.

The treasonous George Walker Bush and the inhuman vermin at all levels of government are steam rolling over the American people like there's no tomorrow. THE LAST NON-VIOLENT solution is to get the right person in the White House. This planned attack by the ELITE is really to make sure that doesn't happen.

As 2008 approaches, those in the GOP and the Democrats will do everything in their power to mock and undermine those that demand real border security and real immigration reform.

Only a few benefit greatly from the endless lines of cheap illegal labor, and they will not stand by quietly and watch their golden goose get cooked.

Are you telling me you're not impressed with the content of his/her political argumentation?

"I know you are but what am I?"

"Note, everyone, the attack on the person of Tancredo .... and not the argument.

You are right on the nailhead Laz...because allowing millions of illegal aliens to come into this country is indefensible. Now, they will paint the lipstick on that pig by calling it an Immigration Bill, or some sort of worker program but it is the ugly swine of amnesty any way you pretty up that sow.
