Rajibul Islam, who is in critical condition in hospital, said he was kidnapped on Tuesday by an extortionist who bound and gagged him and slit his throat, the English-language Daily Star reported. He said he passed out after the incident.
A rickshaw driver found the boy with knife wounds to his neck.
"When I regained my senses, I found myself lying in the sand," the boy said.
Crime is a major political issue in Bangladesh.

And yeah, I know it's dated 7 years ago but it can't have changed all that much. I wish they'd update some of it someday.
