Here's a tidy little quote from the very top of Earle's website...
"This is an artist you must listen to
Steve pulls no punches and gives me much hope
If I were a rock star, I would be Steve Earle." - Michael Moore
The quote, in itself, just speaks volumes about Steve Earle, and about GM's use of this idiot as their Chevrolet spokesperson!!!
I just called the Sales Manager at Classic Chevrolet (Grapevine, TX) and advised him I would NOT be trading my 2003 Suburban for "anything GM" in 2006 because of GM's use of Earle as their frontman.

We have always bought GM vehicles. This gives pause for thought on that practice in the future. Bad move on Chevy's part. They're gonna hear from me.

Yep. A lot of fundraising/donations and some money is reportedly even earmarked from the sale of individual vehicles.

dump that thought. Drive a Honda Ridgeline.....did last week and want one real bad. Must put in a pool instead - need to keep track of 3 daughters and that is the best way possible.

My second choice is a Nissan Frontier, I'm sure the Honda is great (I have an Accord that has been an absolutely perfect car) but I don't like the look of the Ridgeline.
I sent Chevy an email suggesting if they were going to continue using Earle then they should consider changing their tagline to "An Anti-American Revolution".

I have heard something like that...but the alternative is small cars, and I just love rubbing the eco-whackos' noses in it when they see me drive my Explorer.

I just called and told them the Suburban is now off the list and told them why. The woman on the other end sounded surprised why they would use someone like him too.

I'm 35 years old and I never heard of this jack-off either.By picking him as their spokesman,GM and the NFL are only speeding up their race to the scrapheap.
