Sword chase mayhem
MANAMA: A Bahraini man ran amok yesterday and brandishing a sword attacked policemen who came to his house in Zallaq in connection with a robbery investigation.
On hearing the knock on the door the suspect pounced on the policemen with a sword - injuring four of them - and rushed back inside the house.
Police then fired tear gas into the house but he managed to escape.
On the run, he hijacked a public transport bus by pushing the driver out of the vehicle and headed towards Al Jazeera beach and then to Riffa where he crashed into police patrol cars and other vehicles causing damages.
Finally, he was surrounded by the police and taken into custody.
He will be produced before the Prosecutor General for investigations, Southern Police Governorate director general Col Abdulla Nasser Al Fadhel said last night.
The police had on an earlier occasion tried to arrest him but he managed to escape with the help of friends and neighbours.
Wow, it happened at Al Jazeera Beach. Maybe MTV has some video feed of this real life situation.
Personally I prefer CNN beach. The people are just as agonizing but the women are hotter.
Hotlanta
Never bring a sword to a ........nevermind............
I like Fox Beach...........
The Highlander?
..........and headed towards Al Jazeera beach
Where I guess he jumped into the Manama Canal?
Al Jazeera beach... That must be a real fun place!
The Manama police chief, wearing a panama hat, said the arraignment would be held mañana.
Now I got Carmen Miranda and Ima Sumac on my mind.
Steel Beach.
Don't forget the girl from Ipanema.
Must think about baseball stats.
Must think about baseball.
They're really chowing down.
The trouble is all the bikini babes have to wear burkas. But the beach blowouts REALLY blow out.
Since the punishment for theft is to cut off the hand, guilty or not, it's not surprising that the alleged thief would resist with every bone remaining in his body.
