Never had an MRE. Occasionally dined on C-Rats when doing my time in-country. MRE's sure look better than C-Rats, although I doubt they still include those small cigarette packs.

C-Rats had their advantages. I have fond memories of Beanie-weenies and Green-eggs-n-ham.

But MREs have greater variety and are pretty tasty these days.

No, No Cigarettes - we get tabasco instead. Mmmmmmmmmmm

I've still got a 35 year old P-38 on my key chain ... what an amazing little tool (which, with the exception of the word amazing, is what J-fn-K's neighbors used to say about him when he was a small boy)
