That's because we have Sherlock Moose!
...and lots of cameras!
New York has lots of cameras too...It didn't stop a few kooks with a truck-load of explosives from attempting to take down the twin towers. What the Brits (and we) need is more cops with guns and and enough information to make them effective in preventing such attacks.
I am very glad though that they are making progress, and it appears to be disrupting the network at large (my hope). I also hope this scares the wits into some of these would-be bombers.
It's also *finally* good to see local islamic leaders coming out against this outrage and not sitting idly by the sidelines. People must pick sides. There is no middle-ground between life and death. They cannot be equilibrated or treated relativistically. If Life = Death and we can all agree to that...What kind of death do you want? We need more Imam's making this distinction clearly to their faithful.
A decent read here.

Amir Mir, a Pakistani journalist known for his reporting on terrorism issues recently reported that other than the Muridke campus, LeT operates two big military training facilities at Khairati Bagh in the Leepa Valley and at Nala Shui in Muzaffarabad, both in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir. There is another facility at Maldasi in the Sindh province, near the city of Hyderabad. All together the camps churn out a few dozen hardened terrorists every few weeks, to be sent to Kashmir. But Kashmir is not the only destination for LeT`s fighters. In the recent past, more than a few LeT operatives and jihadist fighters have been arrested inside Iraq while fighting U.S. troops, even though the U.S. government is unlikely to admit it for the fear of embarrassing Gen. Musharraf. LeT`s latest publications still call for volunteers to fight in Iraq.
