I know, I know...vanity!
I just heard about this show last night on O'Reilly. Steven Bochco promised a show with no politics that accurately covers what's going on in Iraq. The clips I've seen have looked great!
i really like the dope smoking soldier
That's when I turned it off.
You don't watch any TV or movies?
Almost none. But what bothers me about this particular show is that the war is currently on-going and I can't imagine that a Hollywood production is going to miss a chance to engage in a little propaganda.
On another subject, I see that ABC is about to launch a new series in the fall about a female U.S. president, and the villain of the new series is the male vice-president. The softening up of the electorate to favor Hillary is well on its way. Present-day Hollywood appears incapable of straying from the straight liberal line now. It's just the way of things.
I read an article that soldiers got a special screening last weekend about this and they HATED it. Said it made soldiers look vicious and stupid. One sgt said thank God when it was over and they all complained about it
The promo clip I saw had the tape reversed and showed an M16 with the ejection port on the left, so there's one blooper to start with. I have put thousands of rounds of 5.56mm downrange, and I can tell you for a fact that the M16 ejects to the right.
Fox News Channel used to introduce their War on Terror segment with a reversed graphic showing an M240B machine gun with the ammo belt feeding from the right. I haven't seen it in a while. Did they finally correct that mistake?
This old soldier remembers when the liberal elites in the entertainment media saddled us with the "baby-killer" lie. Some in the media are now acting like they are the new best friend of those who wear the uniform. I hope I may be forgiven if I am a little suspicious.
Steven Bochco
wasn't he Hill Street Blues?
Does anyone seriously think our troops will get fair treatment in just about ANYTHING put on tv these days?
There were tons of combat movies made during WWII. Also, The Green Berets was made while troops were still dying in Vietnam.
I would've spoken out against that movie, too.

For someone that watches almost no TV you sure are an expert on what's showing.
If Mel Gibson does it, they will...
What absolute made-for-TV crap.

if this is as wrong way as the soldiers said, we got another mission....
so far it looks ...off.
lets see, so far we have "Mrs. B", a closeted lesbian and "Stoney", the ganja soaked pvt. from the inner city, a young tough guy with a heart of gold and a pocket full of weed.....
add a tough as nails Sgt. who is fighting the brass to protect his troops,...
the jokes about this series practically write themselves,
it would be funny except for the fact this sort of cr@p insults the real men and women who make our peaceful lives possible....
Watched the first 10 minutes and turned it off.
Semper Fi,
