Somewhat more regular tour groups have been getting to view the public portions of the White House.
I suggest you contact your Congress Critter or Senators, and see if you can request tickets. Same for visits to the Capitol, which might still be in session -but may have broken until September. Hard to know when they are going to stop harping for more documents from Judge Roberts' past, and go away for their "Summer recess".
Also, since 9/11, it is not easy to get tickets to many venues. Hop online and visit as many of the places you want to visit, to see what the new "rules" for obtainng tickets are.
An Air Force friend of mine visited back in June and he was angry that he hadn't taken more time to get tickets in advance, because it seemed like every day, he and his son were in a couple of lines to get tickets, and then they'd actually get IN to see whatever the venue was, the next day. He was disgusted that 9/11 had so "locked up" DC, and that the ticket process took so much of their sightseeing time. Until he got there, he had no idea it had changed that much.
Truthfully, he of all people should have known. He knows how close the Pentagon is to say, oh for example, the Memorial Bridge, or the Lincoln Monument. Like - seconds in a plane!
Just some advice.
She has no representatives here. (Unless I'm wrong about that).
