That would be from the same group as all the Mexicans who have purchased American Made automobiles since NAFTA was passed. Thats what we told would happen wasn't it?

Try the Desert Island Trading Game at libertyarcade.org (which btw, is an awesome site that shows how hollow liberal economic thinking is).

Trade between the rich and the poor can improve the quality of life of both.

"I'd like to know what a bunch of people in central america with no money are going to buy from the US. "

Nothing... CAFTA will simply allow large American companies to close their factories here at home, layoff large numbers of American workers, build their factories down south, hire very cheap foreign labor, and then ship their goods back to America with free acces (thanks to CAFTA) to the American Market, creating a huge increase in profits... all at the expense of the American worker. Same thing happened with NAFTA and GATT... Same play book. Nothing new here.

Always... "Follow The Money"...

First of all, cotton. Second, the government of these countries are going to start buying goods from the US. This in turn helps their economy, which makes their populace richer, so they can then buy our products.

Think of it this way, would you rather your dollars go to China, or to Central America? Do you remember when China was a backward country, similar to Central American countries today? Had we invested in Central America 30 years ago, instead of China, our economy woould be a lot better off.
