:) My favorite Bloom County was Berke Breathed's depiction of other cartoonists. He drew Cathy Guisewhite ("Cathy") and I forget who else. The last cell was labeled "Gary and the twins". "Gary" was standing in front of a huge hammer and sickle, holding the twins, while each was wearing a wooly communist party hat from the now defunct Soviet Union.

Now now. Jane Pauley has earned the right to be criticized for the inaninity of her views without reference to her emotional condition.
I remember what she had said about meeting Gary. They both ate "Stouffers" frozen dinners. Now there's a real common bond! But isn't Gary anti capitalist? Shouldn't they be growing their own maize and making their own tofutti?
