Yes, they do. But I've thought about this from another angle, Allegra. If the MSM were doing its job, the one say they say are doing "unbiased" (ha!), the terrorists would be going ape-chit. The fact that the MSM is laden with anti-US bias, makes terrorist feel lazy, IMHO, as the MSM is carrying water for the terrorists. Every military commander worth his salt knows this. And uses it.
And that's why it is so important for each of us to reach out to our soldiers, to thank them, and share the good news right-back-atcha with them! :)
Actually, I've had chats with some of the military brass here who are just as frustrated as I am about it. They worry about troop morale when the troops see their successes being ignored or even trashed by the media. I always make sure to tell our troops to ignore that and I assure them that support for them back home is as strong as it ever was.
Whenever I hear any of the soldiers or Marines express doubt about support back home, it infuriates me.
Ditto Allegra. Our troops and officers are concerned about the Old Media's antics. And when you think back to Newsweek's recent slander, with the resulting fallout, their concern is valid. Even worse, IMHO, is that wimpy complaints about Gitmo air conditioning makes us look weak.
