The Livingston County Teenage Republicans are having a Meet the Candidate night this Thursday, July 28 featuring US Senate Candidate Keith Butler.
Keith Butler is running against Debbie Stabenow. He's a solid conservative and is the only Republican to win in the last 30 years in the City of Detroit.
He's an excellent speaker and barring any surprises such as Mike Rogers or Candice Miller running, will have my vote in the 2006. I encourage everyone Mid Michigan or SE Michigan to come to this event and hear him speak. This is free to all conservatives and republicans.
Meet the Candidate: Keith Butler
Life Christian Church
5202 E. Highland Rd - better known as M-59
Howell, MI
June 28 - 5:30-7:30
From Lansing - Take I-96 East to M59 Exit(133). Take M59 for about 5 miles past the city of Howell and past Latson Road. I believe it's just east of Hughes Rd and is on the right hand side.
From Detroit and Ann Arbor Area - Take I-96 to US23 North to M59 Exit(67?). Go West about 5 miles past Hacker Rd. It is on the Left hand side.
From Flint - Take US-23 South to M59 Exit. Go East about 5 miles past Hacker Rd. It is on the Left hand side.
I heard him on Beckman's show last week. He's got a great shot at Stabmenow. Even a few percent from AA, Flint, or Detroit and it is going to be a pick-up republican seat.
I'll add I think Candace would do well to take on Granholm. The only person Jenny could lose to would be a smarter woman than herself.
The only real negative comments I've heard were from the gay activists who hate his guts, and they don't vote for republicans anyway.
