Does anyone have a possible explanation as to how we became so scared to use nuclear warfare never mind that we may need it now just as much as we did in WWII?

Quite frankly, I think these jihadists just don't understand who they are #$@&ing with. Even as educated as some of them are supposed to be, like Bin Laden himself, I think these guys are completely clueless. They appear to be operating under the principle that we are a very fragile people, with a very fragile society which will crumble if hit by say, a suitcase nuke or a chemical attack in a major city. But what they fail to remember is that we are a society that lived with and prepared for the spectre of global thermonuclear war for decades, and mutually-assured destruction was our policy. Half of the US is expecting the end days at any moment.

Should these morons ever be successful at pulling off such an attack, even on a single city, there would undoubtedly be some chaos, but at the same time we would go into the armageddon mode that has been an integral part of our culture for decades, if not longer. Very good point. Because the so called moderates are doing very little to weed out the bad elements,if the day ever comes an WMD is used in America, then I hope and pray Americans rise up and do the right thing -- level every last Mosque, and kill or expel every last Muslim. yes exactly correct, the nation of Islam was been waging war on the west, almost non stop, since 700AD. The west had a bit of a rest spite during the 17th and 18 centuries, due to it's dominance in weapons technologies and newly found (industrialized) wealth. But it appears the nation of Islam has adapted, changed tactics and renewed the war.

The nation of islam is also winning the war with the west, once all of the middle east and Turkey was Hellenistic, Christan, and civilized. North Africa dido except more so since it was more Romanized. Islam conquered middle east north Africa and is now conquering Black Africa. Islam has conquered much of south Asia and almost daily attacks India. Mean while the west is inundated with hostile Islam immigrants, it apologizes for the unforgivable act of defending itself with the 1000 year ago crusades.

Yes, Islam does teach that Jesus will come back, but that h was taken to heaven, and never died. Then it teaches that Jesus, who is King of all Kings will follow Muhammed, the False Prophet, and then die after 40 years.

Muslims are not taught that Jesus overcame sin and death and that it will all come to an end upon his return. Nor have he Muslims been taught that Jesus is the only name under heaven where by men can be saved.

Partially because the weapons are hundreds of times more powerful than in the 1940's. Several hundreds of times, in fact. I believe I read once that a single Minuteman II rocket had something like 500 times the destructive power of both "Little Man" and "Fat Boy", combined.

It seems to me that India, China, and Russia share a common cause with us concerning Islam. It's hard for me to believe that behind the scenes leaders of most non-Muslim nations, and even some Muslim nations, do not regard Islam as a problem to be dealt with on a cooperative basis.
