As I read this, I knew who had posted it..:))
So many pleasant and cherished memories surfaced, and I feel sorry for today's children's mostly overstimulated existences.
We used our imaginations and what was at hand - dreamed, and experimented with ideas and ways to do things.

Our surroundings were modest compared with today's glut of 'material things,' but we were grateful for and appreciated every little thing we had...even the Christmas hankies and stationery instead of designer clothes and video games.

We played cards and Monopoly and checkers and chess and Parchesi, etc., and worked jigsaw and crossword puzzles...read lots of books...listened to the console radio together as a family, to programs that were always "F for Family" rated...

Thanks for the Trip Back in Time, Dubya.

Praying for you and Eve,
LadyX
