Howlin, you called it!

Former CIA agent Larry Johnson also questioned Goss's qualifications. "There is one thing Goss didn't really do for the last several years -- he didn't chair the House Intelligence Committee, in spite of what his resume claims," said Johnson. "Instead, he did the dead man's float."

Johnson said Goss did not have the experience claimed. Goss did not "push through real reforms, for example, getting more funding for badly clandestine assets. He didn't do any of it."

Former CIA Counter-terrorism Chief Vince Cannistraro agreed: "Goss has never been very distinguished, but he's protected. He's a Bush loyalist and has been in the forefront of those who have tried to place the major blame for the 9/11 attacks on the agency."

Statement by Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, Porter J. Goss, on the WMD Commission Recommendations - 29 June 2005

At CIA, we are improving how we do our business—operationally, analytically, and technically. The responsibilities assigned to CIA underscore the critical nature of our work and the trust and confidence placed in this Agency. It also reaffirms our role as the lead for human intelligence.

In the 1990s, we suffered deep cuts in intelligence funding and investment. Now, we are rebuilding a system that includes more comprehensive global collection and more rigorous analysis. This involves both quality and quantity. We are not just bringing more people into the Agency, but the right people—those with substantive skills, language, and cultural familiarity of targets critical to America's security.

The CIA provides the United States with a unique set of capabilities and options. Further enhancing our role in defeating terrorism and the other threats confronting our country today and tomorrow is critical.

No lie is too big for these traitors. From the guttersnipe anti-American hate site, AntiWar.com:

Plamegate: Dick Cheney's Role
by Ray McGovern

...During a radio interview with Ian Masters on April 3, 2005, former CIA operative Vincent Cannistraro charged that the Iraq-Niger documents were forged in the United States. Drawing on earlier speculation regarding who forged the documents, Masters asked, "If I were to say the name Michael Ledeen to you, what would you say?" Cannistraro replied, "You're very close."

"Former CIA agent Larry Johnson also questioned Goss's qualifications."

So these VIPS guys are the professional testifiers the Democrats drag out whenever they want to trash the Administration? The article neglects to mention that Johnson had a four year stint in the CIA, and had been out of the Agency for about 15 years at the time he testified.
