I cringed every time Bush referred to Islam as "a religion of peace" (though I haven't heard him repeat that recently). I am sincerely hoping that Bush knows differently, but has chosen to not turn the world's 80 million (?) or so Muslems against all at once.

I can also hope that the terrorists own actions will cause the more humane Muslems to re-examine their religion (cult).

Most Muslims are told what to belive by their local Mullah...and can never question what is said (one of those little Mohammedisms). If you look around, its hard to find a die-hard Muslim who has a university degree...and if they do practice, its at the liberal end of the religion (if you can call it a religion).

Actually, quite a few muslims who either go or have gone to the universities are extreme.

Think liberalism or left wing ideology here on american campuses, now replace that with islam over there.

In the middle east, the only place where the univeristy system is not a hot bed of islam (compared to the other countries), is...ironically, iraq and iran (go figure), and the last one only became like that recently, they were originally the folks who formed the theocratic republic in the first place.

The taliban started out as a bunch of university radicals and Bin Laden also was well educated.

In Saudi Arabia most of the intellectual movement is dominated by islamists, like our acadamia here is dominated by mostly leftists.

Your local mullah is supposed to be a scholar, and as frightening as it may sound, students at these schools flock to the most extreme ones.

Some of them grow out of it later on, some of them kill themselves and others as suicide bombers, and if your lucky, the ones who go into hard sciences (with exceptions, again Bin Laden) might avoid chunks of the influence and become the "pick and choose" types of muslims, not very religious, and more likely to play "interpretations" with the holy books rather then "submit".

Well for this article I have to bring my old definition of islam (POA) out of storage.


islam (POA) is an intolerant cult founded by a Jewish and Christian hating, child molesting pedophile, who was also a murdering thief. The followers of the cult bow several times a day to worship a meteorite in the sand and follow teachings from a hate filled screed based on worship of a moon rock god written by a maniac. The sword and death are used to induct new cult members and remove non-believers. Women of the cult are treated as sub-human slaves whose worth is measured by the pleasure they give men and by the children they produce for the cult. Beheading, stoning, clitoral cutting, limb chopping, and self-mutilation maintain discipline within the cult.

As I believe I said after my post, I have sent this article to President Bush, Vice President Cheney and Ken Mehlman, begging them all to read it, and requesting that they stop referring to this blood-and-death cult as a "religion of peace," which it is NOT and never EVER WAS!

It is equally fallacious for any government official to state that a "mere handful of radicals have high-jacked one of the world's great religions." Unfortunately, this is something that Condi Rice often says, and I can't understand why she says such things. She is so elegantly educated that she simply has to know that such statements are utterly false!

Islam is NOT "one of the world's great religions!" Nothing and nobody "highjacked" it. It was born out of one very SICK man's twisted, sinister, wicked blood lust, skewed sexual appetites and maniacal drive for sheer power for its own sake!! As the author says, "Mohammed was a FRAUD! I wish that one day, we could hear Condi Rice say so!

Probably too embarrassed to admit that it's true and too fearful to renounce the perp who still prompts the swing of the scimitar from the grave against those who do.

It is also entirely possible that they feel they have no reason to renounce anything, feeling fully justified in committing atrocities against the human race. After all, if their 'god' says it's okay, who are they to argue?

How do you convince someone that they have a terminal disease and need help when they are feeling euphoric and invincible -- especially when they have already rejected the only medicine that will save their lives? (Doesn't Islam teach that they have no need of a savior, rejecting the concept of sin, guilt, contrition, repentance, atonement, visitation, redemption, and Grace?)

Do the 'well' need a physician? Most assuredly, but who is to convince them when they appear to lack the faculty of conscience?
