I thought the two children looked adorable!....but the Post's critic, Robin Givhan, used a buzz word - "NOSTALGIC" - by which she hoped to conjure up "reactionary," "old fashioned," "retrogressive" (as in "turn back the clock of social progress"), and maybe "repressive" or "oppressive" by association. Again I say, how tacky can a would-be journalist be?
The self declared party of tolerance just keep on showing they actually don't have any tolerance whatsoever.
Just like the left to forget the "Chelsea" treatment they afforded the Clinton's child.
The left is so very disgusting.
I can't believe this. The kids looked very well-dressed and appropriate to the occasion.
I thought it was cute the way the little guy was mugging for the cameras, and I thought both children looked adorable.
Small minds in the press. Nothing new.
What a low life that person is. They absolutely did look adorable. And hey, it was HOT in DC, but Mrs. Roberts made the best of it, and had the boy in shorts.
I was getting a bit worried about the libs being TOO accepting. I even heard a newscaster, though I think it was FOX, say they were dressed reminiscent of the John Kennedy family.
They really are reaching.
Dressed nostalgically? Now that baggy pants and miniskirts are available for children aged 5+, there is no excuse for leaving the house looking respectable!
I won't even bother with the /sarc tag.
I thought the two children looked adorable!....
Me too... Robin would have preferred dirty jeans and a belly shirt?
I guess if they were in cut offs and flip flops it would have been acceptable. Unbelievable. MSM are scum
We've seen pictures of Robin Givhan, fashion critic, here at FR. If there is anyone on Planet Earth who should not have a job as a fashion critic based on the example of their own style, wardrobe, and grooming, it is ROBIN GIVHAN. Miss Thang can't dress or pull a look together to save her silly life.
I dress my children this way for important occasions. I'm glad the Roberts children were not dressed like homeless orphans.
I guess she wanted them to wear the obligatory baseball caps turned sideways (it says "I'm too stupid to keep the sun out of my eyes" to me...) and sports-team logo clothing?
I wish the little boy had been helped to tone it down...I must be getting impatient with age.
The Post is probably upset over the image of a pro-lifer.
I didn't read the Post article, maybe it's just as well. The tots were just fine. I'm sure many a parent could wish their wee ones looked as good!
And put this together with the complaints about the girls (I forget who they are, some team or something) who went to the White House and several were wearing flip-flops with their dresses. They were critizised for not being formal enough.
So, there is no pleasing the fashion police.
Maybe they should have had their nipples pierced for the occasion
The fact that the children looked respectable is enough to send these degenerates into a frenzy.
The left would have been so very overjoyed if those two beautiful children would have been aborted.
Yeah well, consider the source. Then you'll never be surprised.
