Her mother did have to give her a very few spankings in order to get her to understand that she had to behave while being home schooled, ...previously she had spoiled her .. but once my wife decided to home school , my wife figured out the bible was right.

Bravo! Fabulous performance, Troll Boy! You've been doing your homework, but youre just a bit overdone for this audience.Remember, subtlety is the keyword!

But you get an A for effort! Now back to DU, numbnutz!

What's the matter? Can't you handle the truth? Stop being so parinoid.

If you were paying attention, I said that I thought the kids looked adorable. It was the little boy's behavior I found objectionable. He acted like a spoiled brat, period. Time to deal with reality.

That said, I hope John Roberts gets confirmed and turns out to be more conservative than Scalia. I am worried that Ann COulter might be right and Roberts will turn out to be another Souter.

I want the most conservative Supreme Court possible. I would love to see Roe v. Wade overturned.

Who made the kids into a spectacle in the first place?

"Who made the kids into a spectacle in the first place?"

Excellent point, k2blader. It was the liberal media who began talking about the "antics" of the Roberts' son. Then, the Post's "fashion critic" had to get her silly 2 cents in and this is the result!

I wonder if Post readers also read Free Republic!

Thanks for your bright comment!

The kid is a spoiled brat...

He is four. What is your excuse for throwing a hissy fit in public?

I know that you have the strange idea that kids should be little robots and "hit up the side of the head" but on planet reality we realize that kids do not always act like miniature adults.

You on the other hand a suppose to be a mature reasoning adult but no one would ever know this from the drivel you just spewed.

Maybe your son bites his mother when she tries to hold his hand and keep him from acting up, so you think that is normal behavior.

I know different.

The people who are having the hissy fit are those, like you, who refuse to acknowledge the fact that the kid behaved very badly on TV and so attack me for stating the obvious.

Since legend has it that Einstein was so absent-minded that he forgot to wear pants to a formal event, she must also be a genius, because she forgot to put on her dress.

My niece used to bite. She outgrew it.

You on the other hand seem to think you are some kind of child expert. You seem to feel qualified to declare a boy whom you saw for a few minutes on camera a "brat." Of course that kind of conclusion is stupid because there is no way for you to know that without interacting with the child for an extended period.

You who, by your own admission, raised a spoiled brat yourself so I would say that anything you have to say on the subject should be taken with a grain of salt.

You must be a very unhappy person. I pity you and your family.

If must be very trying to live with someone who throws a hissy over nothing and leaps to conclusions with no evidence.

Well, to be perfectly honest, the outfits were indeed a bit 50's costume-ish, and his shoes quite hard to miss. But that's ok and it is certainly better than 90% of 'fashion' available for purchase these days. The point is that it was no big deal, but this reporter and her paper are taking mean cheap shots in public purely for political reasons. We were just kidding about it, the way families can tease about haircuts or cowboy boots. In contrast, they are being vindictively vicious, taking out their political bitterness on little kids.

Though the debate about parenting skills and choices was a whole 'nuther ballgame, that got rather ridiculous.
