My son is there and I just called his cell. I talked to his adult leader and he is ok... HE also told me 4 scouts were electuted putting up a tent and ran into a pole. The fifth was an adult that had a heart attack.

carjic...that is the info. that I heard from my friend as well....their leader was about 100 ft. from this incident. I heard about the boys...but didn't want to put it out there until the info. was confirmed.

Things have changed since I was at the Jamboree in the very early 1960's....we got to sleep in tents.

HE also told me 4 scouts were electuted putting up a tent and ran into a pole A good safety inspection would never had permitted setting up tents under overhead wires. It is strange but looking around of hazards comes with our nature, looking up rarely does. My condolences. (Eagle Scout and Safety Professional.)
