I have a keychain with a gold coin on it that has John Paul II on one side and Mary and baby Jesus on the other... I carry it with me all the time, it's got my house and car keys on it. Some anti-Catholic bigot I am; perhaps I ought to try harder to meet your expectations?

If you're such a faithful Catholic, then you wouldn't even entertain silly jokes that imply the Pope was some sort of anti-Jewish Nazi. Especially the way you've managed to set some people off. Use better judgment.

I'm not a Catholic at all, and I have no problem with Catholicism per se. I simply have no patience for alleged moral leaders who are completely absent from the largest conflict in the present-day world. Where's the exhortation to defense of Catholicism, under mortal assault from Islam? This is no time to be sitting on the fence. And I don't see why my previous guess is unreasonable at all given that it is extremely common - nay, dominant even - on that continent.
